I always book this hotel for business. Mainly because I always find the staff really lovely, with nothing too much trouble for them to sort. It is right at the top end of Chinatown in Melbourne and a nice walk to town hall and the arts centre where a lot of conferences take place. Rooms are not luxurious but have...

We stayed in a queen room for three nights. The room was a bit small from what we are used to but it wasn't a deal breaker. Pros: Location is close/walkable to most places Towels were so fluffy and soft Free wifi Friendly staff No noise from traffic below Cons: Water pressure for the shower was terrible Bathroom was really...

The hotel itself is lovely. Fantastic position, staff at front desk helpful and friendly. The staff in the Locanda Restaurant were divine as was the food. However we arrived on the Thursday prior to Melbourne cup. First few days our room was serviced really well. From then on it was dreadful. On the Sunday our beds weren't made at all,...

Me and my partner stayed here almost a week ago. Perfect location in the CBD, close to everything. The hotel rooms were very satisfactory, you get exactly what you pay for;) the bella bar in the hotel is a lovely spot to chill out and have a quick bite to eat and a cocktail. It was not worth the price I paid. I had a deluxe queen room for 2 nights (30th Oct - 1st Nov 2015). Buffet breakfast and late 1 pm checkout was included. I was given a room on level 22. Negatives about the room: The bathroom door didn't open to a full extent - All of the times I opened...

Beautiful rooms, although some of the larger suites need an update. The bar is pretty good for a quick drink, and its a stones throw from Longrain and other top restaurants. Onsite parking is pretty expensive. Join their priority program and book direct to get the best rate and earn free nights.

First time in this hotel and a Black PGR member. The hotel refurb of the ground floor and restaurant is great. Sadly it seems to stop there and the rooms are old and very average. Walked, was early for the meeting so went to the restaurant. Delightful person checking people through. I only needed a coffee and it was out within 5 minutes or less with a smile. Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
Locals know that Chinatown is the tried and true place to eat before hitting the nightclub scene. The place simply buzzes, and the well-preserved buildings exude a sense of Imperial China stemming from immigration over a century ago. In restaurant after restaurant on Little Bourke Street, you'll find delicious dishes such as sizzling honeyed prawns, and value for your money. Stately matrons oversee family kitchens serving up age-old recipes. The lighting may be unromantic, the patrons loud, and the service no-nonsense, but the food is sensational.
