Apartments need a good clean, paint and general makeover. Smoke smell in apartments, carpet had marks and bathroom mouldy. Could not get around bed in bedroom and also could not open wardrobe. Needs a general makeover and clean

Will never stay there again. Refrigerator had no shelves. Ice wouldn't freeze, anything in fridge DID freeze. Reception on another property. Bad signage. No help with bags and only access to room by stairs. Amenities (dishwashing powder etc) in packs that had been opened by previous guest. Staff disinterested. Never again.

On the first day we came in, we use the kitchen but we cannot find any rubbish bin, so we use our own plastic bag. However, we found a rubbish bin in the kitchen next day after the room cleaning. So nice and sweet observation! Thanks

While the location was great & the price was affordable. It's the old saying 'you get what you pay for'. My son & i were very surprised by the room as it didn't look like the pictures on the site. Our room was tiny, carpet old, paint bubbled, plaster repairs were rough, bathroom cabinetry was scratched and there were only...

Booked in here to attend a conference. As we booked Quest Gordon Place we arrived at this entrance to be informed the reception is actually on Lonsdale street. There is no parking on site. Parking is accommodated in a local carpark 2 doors up. we stayed for 2 nights - Paring was $25 each time we exited the carpark (...

Really good location. We booked a studio at a good night rate. It was very functional, very comfortable and smart. We were able to open the windows and that meant we got a bit a street noise at night but not enough to be a problem.

Great location, just on edge of city so parking and getting out of traffic quickly was great. The courtyard in the middle of the hotel offers a quiet sanctuary from the city. This is great, I have found in other city hotels that street noise can be a real issue overnight. I did not try the cafe here, but it...

Great location to the theater and to restaurants. We booked a studio which was quite small but quite comfortable for 1 night. The shower needs to be updated although it was very clean. Room rates were good and i would recommend this place. It also was very quiet no street noise possible as the place is heritage listed and probably...

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
Locals know that Chinatown is the tried and true place to eat before hitting the nightclub scene. The place simply buzzes, and the well-preserved buildings exude a sense of Imperial China stemming from immigration over a century ago. In restaurant after restaurant on Little Bourke Street, you'll find delicious dishes such as sizzling honeyed prawns, and value for your money. Stately matrons oversee family kitchens serving up age-old recipes. The lighting may be unromantic, the patrons loud, and the service no-nonsense, but the food is sensational.
