This motel is a lovely place to stay for a night or teo and be centrally located in the heart of Melbourne. Nice little rooms with kitchenette and clean bathroom. We have a double room which had a double bed and fold out couch making it 3/4 if you wanted. Only think I wish was that there was a heater...

Hi there Thank you for your feedback about our little motel. I am very sorry that you felt cold. We do have heater and A/C in all of our rooms. It is on the wall and if only you had asked us we could have switched it on for you and made the room warmer for you. There are spare...

Stayed here for 6 nights with my 2 teens. Perfect location. Reception was very friendly. Room was clean, tidy, warm and quiet. Hardly heard any street noises. Linen changed daily. Hotel is old but this shouldn't detract from all other positive features as just mentioned. Location is ideal to eat out or pop around the corner to a supermarket &...

This hotel is smack bang in the middle of Melbourne with bars, shops, restaurants & takeaway all around you. It could not be any better in the location department. The entry to hotel is worn & looks very average which was a concern but thr rooms themselves are nice, very big & clean. Very friendly staff & overall I would...

Peeps, When I booked this place for a 4 day business trip, I really didn't want to stay in the city as I normally stay in the suburbs but I needed to be central this time. I'm so glad I did. Rita at the front of house was exceptional, the place was clean, tidy and surprisingly quiet being in Swanston...

This is a real find in the heart of Melbourne. You could not be more central to the heart of this sensational city Clean and cost effective you get breakfast Toast and butter and jam which sustains the early morning. Breakfast venues surround this motel and if you are going for it The Westin is opposite for a full English...

I was pleasantly surprised by this accomodation. It was so quiet, which was amazing considering it is on Swanston Street. My room was huge with a very comfortable bed, couch, dining setting and good LCD TV. The bathroom was clean and with plenty of hot water. There was a fridge, microwave and tea/coffee making facilities. Very close to Flinders Street...

This hotel really exceeded expectations, however it's great location also results in a lot of noise from the street below. We were on the 3rd floor and bought ear plugs on the first day. This was enough to ensure a good nights sleep. The room was quite large but basic, with friendly staff and a great location this is a...

Stayed here four times during 2016. Great place to stay on the corner of Collins and swanston street, right in the centre of the city. Friendly helpful staff. Walking distance to the theatres and great restaurants.

This was a 'quick pick' for a one night stay and we were very glad that we chose it. Central, comfortable and value for money - what more could you ask for? The receptionist was lovely and we all scored a good nights sleep - unusual for us! Definitely recommend.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
