Perfect location for access to Etihad Stadium, wanted somewhere in safe walking distance for after a night time concert. Booked a twin room, clean and tidy, bed was very comfy. Bathroom also very clean. Check in, check out and other contact with front desk staff was excellent. Very helpful and knowledgeable. Free luggage storage or can pay for a locker.

Nice central location and in a little bit better condition than most for a mid-budget accommodation. Probably would have rated as 'average' but staff friendliness/helpfulness were enough to bring it up that extra star. If I was in Melbourne again on my own, would likely consider this place again.

The hotel is in a great location however in today's day an age, if your wifi connection is not stable, or worse, does not work at all, especially in a business hotel, that is a big problem. This is a great place to stay for business. It is 400 metres from Southern Cross Station and the Sky bus stop. It is also only 3-4 minutes to the Burke Street Mall and most other City stops. The facilities are good, clean, basic and everything works. The breakfast is good and convenient.

Clean and tidy, great location and relatively inexpensive. Not impressed with lockers and charges for leaving your luggage on departure. Never before have I been charged for stowing my luggage especially for a few hours. Please factor this in to the cost when making your booking.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
