Well kept property which was close walking proximity to all major attractions in Melbourne. Friendly service at front desk, booked airport transfers for us straight away. Would definitely stay again, right in the hustle and bustle of Melbourne!

the room was neat and tidy, although a bit small. I would recommend that if you have trouble with stairs that you request not to have a loft apartment, as there is not a great deal of room to move. The staff were helpful and friendly. quite accomodating in terms of booking a pick-up to get to the station for...

This was our first trip to Melbourne and we needed to be somewhere central that would make it easy for us to get around. The mantra city central did not disappoint. We were so close to so many amazing restaurants and coffee shops and the hotel was right across the road from Myers which made me happy. The tram line...

No ramp access for suitcases to lobby - have to carry or hump up the stairs Elevator was filthy First room - straight inside door, approx 15 stairs up to a landing, 3 more stairs to bedroom area. A reasonable hotel would tell you the room had that many stairs with no other access option. I could raise arm and...

It was ok.. no facilities which you could live with if the accommodation was amazing but my unit had massive damage on the roof which poorly patched and the pillows may as well not been there because of how soft they were.. overall its not where other Mantra hotels are in comfort etc.. Overall it was just average , not...

This hotel was attractive, modern, clean and comfortable. My husband, daughter, and I really enjoyed our short stay at The Manta Hotel. We would definitely stay here again when we return to Melbourne in the future.

Very happy with our two nights stay. The location is very convenient, close to China town and walking distance to Victoria markets. Clean room and comfy beds and great mini kitchen facilities will stay again for sure. Would recommend.

Pleasantly welcomed by staff on arrival. All the staff We're friendly with a enthusiastic professional manner. The room was quite big however the cleanliness was not very thorough eg: dusty and rubbishy behind the fridge. The big bed was awesome and extremely comfortable. However the bathroom was a let down as the shower was quite small and not clean there...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
