Where do I begin? I really advise anyone not to go to this hotel. For the money it is shockingly bad. The staff are mostly rude and obnoxious. It is advertised as a 4 star but it is very far short of that. I have...More
This hotel location is close with Southern Cross Station, just 5 min walk. The staff is friendly and the room is spacious. Inside the room they provided coffee machine and several variant of coffee and tea.
I was attending a conference at Etihad Stadium - so nice and close
Cleanliness and comfort definitely rates high for this establishment. The food at dinner was also excellent. My only issues were that you really have to read the fine print to discover the...More
I used my credit card just once in the month of my stay. At checkin it was scanned at Sophia Hotel for security deposit. When my card statement arrived I had been scammed $930 on that date for tickets to an alternate music festival! NEVER...More
Although not expecting much, I was delighted to have welcome and easy booking in, lovely quiet room with comfortable bed. Very clean room. Walk in shower. And an amazing breakfast for the price. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND.

Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air
of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.

Gday. I think they have a policy of a deposit taken from the credit card for everyone which is held. I checked my bank online and it was taken as "pending", but never went through as a charge. But ask them if youre unsure. I know they are not great communicators but they were honest with me and I didn't get any deduction.
Hope this helps.
