I stayed for a week while looking for a rental place. A really wonderful experience. It was a single room, basic and clean, with shared bath and toilet. The place is quiet, clean and tidy, with a shared kitchen and indoor and open dining. Every room gets a personal food storage and fridge space. The manager Greg and the other...

I've stayed here a number of times now. There's nowhere else in Perth that you would find a room to yourself for $50. Clean, well managed, comfortable with good facilities. Sorry to hear Candice had a horrible stay. That is definitely not the 'norm'

The place is very nice, I was there for 4 weeks, and met some amazing people. The place is always clean, the kitchen is available with all you might need and the Tv room/library is also very nice and comfortable. The rooms are very nice, and comfortable. Location is great! The staff is amazing, very nice and available people, at...

I stayed two months in this backpacker it was really nice. You can met different people and the staff is very welcoming. I had my own single room. The bathroom and the toilets are separated for women and men. There also a large kitchen, two large TV rooms and a garden. The lodge was very clean. Near the City Perth...

The only great thing about this hostel are the people that you meet there, other than that the staff is very unfriendly if you need help or ask for something they moan as if it's not their job when in fact it actually is! Everything besides the bathrooms is dirty! And unpleasant! The bathrooms were pretty clean I cannot complain...

While this place is more than reasonable in cost, you have a cleaning who has no problem showing her disapproval, whether she likes you or not. You have the manager, who walks around with an attitude and even though you pay to be there, I experienced they thought I had to be grateful rather than a paying customer. You pay...

I stayed here for eight weeks and it is excellent, cheap single room accommodation. Large kitchen with own shelves in cupboards and fridge and good sized tv room. I had a single room which was large with a built in wardrobe and large desk. The only downside was the road which with the bus stop outside could be very noisy...

We stayed in Townsend Lodge five nights. Perth is a very expensive city and this hostel is the cheapest accomodation. We arrived at 10 pm and we had not cash but there wasn't credit card service in the hostel, we had to look for cash machine because you have to pay before to see the room and give 50 dollars...

Being a solo traveller, finding a hostel with single rooms was not that easy, and all the prices in Perth seem to be particularly expensive. At 45 dollars a night this place is average. Quite easy to find as it is fairly central (although still a 15 minute walk to the train station). I arrived very early in the morning,...

While it will never be mistaken for a luxury establishment, Townsend Lodge does provide secure, cheap accommodation right in the Perth CBD. Communication in relation to my resevation was prompt and correct. The room I stayed in was quiet and clean. There doesn't appear to be very many showers and toilets for the shared facility rooms but it wasn't a...
