Had a great stay here in March 2020. The entire hotel is modern and well maintained. The rooms are very well appointed, quiet & comfortable absolutely meets the expectations one has when staying at an IC property. Staff was attentive & friendly - we'll definitely return when in Perth again.

My family spent 2 weeks here in quarantine and the room was comfortable, the food varied, interesting and good and the staff were constantly helpful. An excellent way to spend 2 weeks and I'd be happy to go back sometime, thanks.

Ok we have no choice which hotel we go to for our 2 weeks quarantine, but I had heard from friends that you do not want to end up at the Intercontinental, simply because they exploit the quarantine situation with enormous price gouging. Well as luck would have it I ended up here and all the rumors were true! 100 - 200% mark up on a very limited food and beverage menu. So they allow Care packages of food but no alcohol allowed and this is where they kick in the 200% margins. I am a red wine drinker and they have one bottle of average red wine on menu from Spain (not even Margaret River represented) at a cost of $48. We pay $180 a night for the pleasure of being confined to a hotel room and the hotel is full with Aussie quarantine passengers. So the hotel is making an absolute killing already without having to overcharge for incidentals. I spoke with a wine drinking colleague who also experienced quarantine in Perth recently and he said the Hyatt had a good selection of wines that were subsidized for quarantine guests. All wines were less than $20/bottle. Way to go Hyatt! I am IHG member and will certainly think twice about using their hotels elsewhere in the world and will never come back to the Intercontinental in Perth whilst I have a choice.

Hi Brontetom, Thank you for taking the time to write us your feedback from your recent stay with us. We want to provide the best service that we can offer and live the Intercontinental life. I'm sorry that your experience wasn't stellar because the rate of alcoholic beverages being sold in the hotel is not competitive. I have sent you a private message to get more details and discuss this further. We're looking forward to your prompt response. Regards, Virgil N. Case Manager IHGService

Hi D2656IRjoannam, Thank you for your feedback regarding your recent visit. We work hard to deliver an exceptional guest experience, and it is apparent in your case we fell short. Issues with the lack of room amenities, the quality of food and the level of cleanliness you encountered gave a negative impact on your stay. These will be looked into and addressed with our teams. I have also sent you a private message to obtain additional details. Again, thanks for staying with us. We value your comments and welcome the opportunity to provide you with a better experience. Sincerely, Connie D Case Manager IHGService

My first quarantine and I came with very low expectations as I had read scathing reviews of most hotels. Was informed at the airport that I would be going to the Intercontinental. To my pleasant surprise, this turned out to be a good place. The room was very neat and the bed comfortable to sleep on. No noise. Some meals were really good and some not to my taste. Ubereats was utilised from time to time and I also ordered a few groceries from Coles. Everything was delivered up to my room without any problem including hired gym equipment. I would advise anyone about to fly to Perth to carry packaged/sealed snacks and bottled water in preparation for the long wait before you get to your room. We are living in difficult times so a little preparation will mitigate some of the inevitable discomforts.
