We've been lucky enough to be staying at The Westin for our 14 days quarantine. The rooms are big, bright, modern and spacious and the beds are really comfortable. Our two children are in another interconnected room but unfortunately this room keeps getting a strong cigarette smell intermittently throughout our stay. We've complained several times to management but the issue remains unresolved. Having said that the staff here are very good at responding to requests and go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We've asked for a coffee machine and metal cutlery to reduce the amount of plastic cutlery sent in the food bags. We've also asked for our children's meals to be changed (requested in advance) and the kitchen staff are happy to accommodate requests and call me daily to check on meal preferences which is really appreciated. Food is great, plentiful and varied. There's no shortage of fresh fruit and water (just a shame it's in plastic bottles). We have a room overlooking the lovely pool, just a shame we can't leave the room to use it?! I'm in doubt that staying at the Westin has made quarantine with kids so much easier all round.

I’m very surprised by the negative reviews about this accommodation. At the time of writing we’re on Day 2 of our fortnight’s quarantine and we can’t believe our luck in being directed to this fabulous luxury hotel. We have adjoining rooms which are like new, very comfortable and well insulated. The food is delicious, varied and with generous portions. The TV has all the usual channels, plus pay-per-view movies. Sure, there are a few things missing from our rooms that might ordinarily be here (bathrobe, slippers, shower gel, body lotion, etc.) so you might want to bring your own. Also, if you don’t like using plastic cutlery, you should bring your own knife, fork and spoon! I am very grateful to the staff who are AMAZING and are risking their lives for us. Also the medical team are knowledgeable, efficient and caring. If I had to criticise anything it would be the tap water, which tastes strongly of chemicals, even after boiling. This obviously isn’t the hotel’s fault, although maybe it could be filtered in some way?

The room is a reasonable size, but no view at all just looks at other buildings so pretty depressing and gloomy as we are being charged for this. So far have only found the very basic tv channels. Maybe this is part of the quarantine punishment as most hotels have a large variety of channels to watch. We had to haul our very heavy luggage off the bus ourselves. I hurt my back doing so and a very polite passenger helped us. The hotel staff stood and watched. We are an elderly couple that had wheelchair access until arriving in the quarantine hotel where you are treated differently. There was no help after that. We had a phone call saying that the evening meal had been delivered. It was absolutely stone cold.It would have been good and possibly tasty if it had been heated ,but eating cold salmon and vegetables out of a styrofoam box is rather unpalatable. Not a lot to look forward to for the next 14 days maybe the hotel managers should sample their cold food themselves. However there was nothing else and it had been several hours since we had access to food and water as the quarantine process took about 4 hours in total. The plastic cutlery was such appalling quality it could not even cut the vegetables without snapping. We have to accept being treated like animals for 14 days. This is obviously what the standard of care is from both the Westin and the WA Government. Presumably the Westin could not care less as they get the money off the Government and the way that we are treated does not matter. Having stayed in many Marriots during my life I would certainly not recommend this hotel.
