The 100 dollar room incidentals deposit became $457 on my first overnight stay. When I questioned the receptionist simply parotted "$100 dollars is standard" Yes but it wasn't 100 dollars. I stayed again and now the incidental is $357. I have a low limit travel credit card to protect against fraud and this is causing me trouble. After I emailed them the predictable response was "$100 is standard." I can't go back again as for all know it could be much more next time and cause me even more trouble.

Located in a perfect spot in Perth - close to the action but with incredible views from each and every room (city, river, gardens). Amazing spot to walk into town or talk the park or foreshore. The rooms are well appointed - soundproof, great comfortable beds, bathrooms with good water pressure (and good quality handcream, shampoo, conditioner, hand wash, shower cap, hair dryer). There is an outdoor pool, elevated above the Swan River. The gym overlooks the river too (directly above the rowing club). And, there is an amazing rooftop bar - overlooking the city - indoor, outdoor, in sun, out of the sun - no better place to watch the sun go down, sunset, evening - with well priced drinks and great food offers. The staff at Doubletree Waterfront are warm and friendly (and don't forget there is a warm tasty cookie on arrival). The team is led by Tamer who ensures guest needs are looked after - nothing is beyond him or his team. Sinan runs the Food & Beverage team who are excellent. Shoutouts also to Sarah and Sunnie for making my 3 night visit amazing.

Fantastic hotel, our room was perfect. We were lucky to be given room 427 .Wonderful views of the swan river . The buffet breakfast was very good, nothing was to much trouble for the member of staff called Trung who oversaw breakfast each day . The hotel is very convenient for all the sights.

This new hotel is very comfortable and well equiped. The 18th Floor bar is a wonderful place to relax and provides light meals as well as liquor. Has an amazing view of the Swan River. The main dining room on the 2nd floor and again has great view of the Swan River and both the breakfast is self service with a wide range of food and the dinner menu is varied and the food we ate, excellent. The service was also first class and cost not excessive for the quality. The rooms are very reasonable and I would class them as 5 star - very comfortable and well equiped. If visiting Perth, I would definitely recommend this hotel - woudl; stay again if returning to Perth

A really nice hotel - we had a River View room. Great location & close to: Barrack St jetty (Rottnest Ferry, Swan River, etc). South Perth Ferry. The Bell Tower. Walking distance to the city. Close to the freeway. Hotel was really clean. Room was nice, and well laid out. Staff very friendly. Breakfast is definitely worth including!

The hotel itself is very nice, the staff are wonderful & the warm cookies they give you on check in are phenomenal!! My only complaint is I wasn’t aware James Street was full of clubs & pubs so if it’s a quiet time you’re looking for then this may not be the hotel for you. If you are not to worried about the hotels location is I can confirm room 415 is a quiet room compared to one we were first in on level 8

Great service here! Nothing was too hard and we didn’t get charged extra for a rollaway bed for our 4 year old. From the initial messages to see if our room was ready to the bottle of wine and chocolates. The rooftop bar had an amazing view and the bar staff were friendly and helpful putting together an apple juice cocktail for my 4 year old. The lady who helped us when we checked out was also so engaging with our daughter chatting to her about her smiggle bag and waving goodbye.

DoubleTree by Hilton Perth Waterfront Extremely disappointing experience. Stayed last night for a gift from my wife for my 50th. Service and experience was appalling.: - rooftop bar, lovely venue, staff completely incompetent in hospitality. Waited for over 20 minutes to be served whilst the bar lady totally ignored us. - Pre-ordered breakfast in our room for 06:45-07:00 as we had to leave early. In room Online order system wouldn’t work so we were advised to fill out breakfast cards and leave outside our door…..felt I was back in the 90’s. Filled out two breakfast cards as two separate orders, one being vegetarian. 7am we received a phone call, checking what our order was and was it for 1 or two people, to which we advised it was for two. Told it would be another 20 minutes at least. I advised we were in a hurry hence why we Pre-ordered. Told “if you’re in a hurry, the restaurant is open so go there”. Again, if we wanted to go to the restaurant we would have. Not what we asked for. Told them to cancel the order. They rang back immediately to say the chef could do it fast and it would be there in 10. I say ok, 20 minutes later it arrived. Breakfast arrived all on one plate, yes one We always eat both our meals off the one plate???. Oh end also, cross contaminated the vegetarian order with bacon and then they ask us to pay for the breakfast despite the fact it’s included in the room package. Apparently, if you order room service, you have to pay for breakfast again! This was not disclosed or written anywhere… We challenged and was advised “we were only charged for one breakfast” $42. So so generous Doubletree, you are so kind. We left our room not eating. Complained to the manager at reception, no real care, just “we will deduct the $42 from your bill” which we had already paid in our room booking anyway. May have well talked to the wall as he had no interest in listening to what my complaint was actually about. He just kept saying “I will deduct the breakfast bill”….. Rang back this morning and asked for the GM to call us. Low and behold……wait for it………….No call. No care! Sure why would they, they have our money. Appalling customer service!!!!!! Overall, put a very sour taste in what was supposed to be a beautiful present from my wife. Do yourselves a favour friends! Stay well away if you expect any level of customer service. 4 start hotel, would give them 1 Only good thing..the view!

Stayed for two nights in a King panoramic River Guestroom for my special birthday. Our stay was beautiful. From the beginning to the end, we found staff to be excellent. Loved the cookie on arrival, checking with us during the stay, to see if we needed anything, staff at breakfast were friendly and accommodating too. It’s the little things staff do, that makes a stay special. Our room was on level 14. We navigated the digital key well. Loved the shower with a view, loved just sitting at the window & taking in the gorgeous view. Breakfast was great each morning. We were so lucky on our first morning to sit and watch a dolphin frolic below, very cool. Hubby used the gym each morning, found it very adequate. Pool area looked amazing, but we unfortunately didn’t use it. We enjoyed cocktails on the rooftop bar, 18knots. Was gorgeous sitting up there at night taking in the city lights. Location was perfect. We caught train in from home, was an easy walk to hotel. We caught ferry over to South Perth for lunch. Ate and local restaurants in Elizabeth Quay. Walked into the city for some shopping. So much to do & we live in Perth. Loved our stay & I think it’ll be our birthday tradition from now on.

Great stay in a place that is very central for everything to do in Perth. We had a high floor room and found it clean and quiet. Check in was easy after a long day of travel, only thing to note is no parking on-site its up the road a bit. Breakfast was good, great buffet selection. The view overlooking the river was lovely. Would definitely recommend and stay again
