My third or fourth stay here, and still feels as comfortable as the first time I stayed here. Rooms are big and airy, service is friendly and Ivy and Jack restaurant is as good as ever. Centrally located so it’s convenient to get to places within the city as well.

I have stayed here for the past 3 months and would like to express my sincere thanks to all staff, the greetings were excellent, the rooms were large and squeaky clean, room service, valet parking, and food were all on point. When someone in a hotel or restaurant remembers your name with a smile it’s always something you should share with others. Do yourself a huge favour and stay here if you’re ever in Perth, I am looking forward to returning very soon Steven

I stayed for a week in April and it was fairly average at best. The beds and pillows were super comfy with a good selection of cable tv channels. The bathroom doesn’t have a ventilation fan so when you have a shower the bathroom just turns into a steam room. There was a hole in the wall with a plastic cover over it for ventilation but it is nowhere as good as you need. The view from my room was a construction site and the walls are pretty thin so you constantly here the noise during the day but I could also here the working parts of the lifts whenever they were on the move and my neighbours banging around. The lifts are in desperate need of a refurb, they are as old as me and super tiny. It says max occupancy 10 people but you are lucky to fit 2 people with there luggage. I had room service breakfast once and they were almost an hour late and I had buffet breakfast in the restaurant attached once. The food was decent but the person checking the buffet every 10mins was useless. I sat there for an hour and the sauce was empty the entire time and never refilled. The plates underneath the buffet ran out shortly after I got there and weren’t replaced either. On one of the mornings that I had my room serviced the housekeeper actually removed the tv remote so I had to head down to reception to get another one as the phone in the room wasn’t working to call down. On my last morning I had housekeepers knocking on my bedroom door at 830am even though I had the do not disturb sign on my door and still with a couple of hours left before I had to check out. Some of the staff need a lot of training. Reception staff were amazing though, always helpful and had a smile on their faces. No pool but they have a small laundry to use. Great location

We were booked to stay here recently as a family of 3. Unfortunately Expedia stuffed up our booking and we were given a standard room rather than the much larger family room we had actually booked. So we ended up booking another hotel and leaving after a day. This was NOT the holiday Inns fault and they tried to help out but as it was school holidays they just did not have another room available. Staff were lovely and even gave my son a little Easter gift bag and chocolates. The location is amazing - right in the heart of Perth. There’s a funky sports bar downstairs too where we had a great lunch and drinks. The standard room was perfectly adequate for 2, nicely decorated and very clean. Overall a fantastic option and great value for the location.

The location was great on Hay Street and close to shops. It was also a short walk to Northbridge. Rooms were clean and breakfast was really good and nice. It could have more variety on different days as it was basically the same items except for one of the Asian dish. Staff were very friendly and parking was really nearby but chargeable at $30 a night and closes at midnight. No swimming pool or gym at hotel by it was fine as we were out most of the time.

Nice Hotel for three night visit. No balcony, but we were busy so no need for one. Plenty of toiletries, coffee, tea etc and a small carton of milk. Very central for visiting Perth. Nice cafe/bar, but downside it closed at 9.30 pm. Staff nice, but needing to get some facts sorted out. Leaflets out of date at reception. Ordered taxi night before we were leaving and had to ask twice in morning as obviously hadn’t been done. Washing:drying facilities good $10 each.

The dark passages led to OK room. Arrived very tired after a long flight but was hungry. Ordered a toasted cheese and tomato sandwich which arrived cold, had a slice of packaged cheese on thickly cut cheap white bread with a slice of tomato. The filling was so meagre that it didn’t even cover the bread. Not as much as a leaf of parsley - just two limp wedges overlapping one another. Too exhausted to complain and just put it in the passage outside the door. The hairdryer had a broken nozzle and I told the reception desk about this but nothing was done. The hotel restaurant, Ivy & Jack, was the best entertainment in Perth. Was told there were no tables available but when mentioning that I was a hotel guest a table was magically found in a near empty restaurant The service was shocking - waited ages for a drink, for the order to be taken and then delivered. As expected the food arrived cold and was sent back. Staff walked around doing nothing but clocking up their steps (exercise).

We have stayed here on several occasions and have always found the hotel and staff to be excellent in all areas. The guy who checked us in and out couldn't be more helpful and this creates a great overall experience. The breakfast is definitely worth the extra. Thanks.
