Crowne Plaza Perth, an IHG Hotel, garners appreciation for its prime location and scenic views, with many guests enjoying the pool and room service. The atmosphere boasts festive elements and live music, though it may get noisy. While the rooms offer pleasing views and comfort for some, others raise concerns about cleanliness and dated decor.
Service is generally friendly, but efficiency can be inconsistent. As for value, opinions are divided, with some travelers finding it satisfactory and others less impressed. Amenities receive mixed reviews, especially with regard to parking and in-room provisions.

A nice hotel and centrally based and walking distance to Elizabeth Quay, the Bell Tower and Perth Mint. Would definitely recommend staying here. Staff are very helpful and pleasant. Rooms are clean and of a standard size. Very reasonably priced rooms and valet parking is only $34 per day and a good breakfast an extra $29 per person.

We were very, very disappointed with our room. I booked a couple of weeks in advance into a Queen 'River view room' and was very excited to have a look once entering the room, but when I opened the curtains, we were greeted with a view of a roof just below us, to what I think was the reception area underneath, chemical storage and the pool area. I was so upset, as it was a surprise for my husband and a belated Valentines present. We were hoping to take in the views and have a champers on the balcony, instead we got an obscured view of the Swan river with the roof and pool area in the way, which we also had to close our curtains for privacy !!!. When we rang to see if we could be moved, we were told they were fully booked, there was no offer of compensation, nothing. Our room was also at the very end of the hall next to a storage cupboard where they shoved cleaning in progress signs and other items. The room was so hot and stuffy and the air con did not work properly.
The only decent thing on our stay was the 'Gusti' restaurant, the dinner was lovely and we managed to get a table with a view in the morning for breakfast. The staff were also very friendly on both check in and check out, but even after asking how our stay was and me commenting on the room once again, still no offer of compensation, she commented that they would make a note on the next time we stayed. To be honest, I don't think we would be back unless we were to get what we actually booked for :-( and the hotel had a serious upgrade.

Dined in at the restaurant to be told by the waitress that she felt threatened because one of us was wearing a boxing shirt. Our meals and drinks were being charged to our room but when our indigenous collegue tried to order a drink he was told he had to pay up front. This type of treatment is totally racist and prejudiced. We have never been more offended. In addition the rooms were not clean and in particular the glass windows and door.

Rooms are tired and need updating.
Do not stay here.
Water from taps in room was spluttering and white. Kettle was tarnished and dirty.
Groups of boys in board shorts and no shoes allowed to loudly roam the hotel lobby and halls outside our room where the lifts were.
Noise from pool up to levels 5,6,7,8 and 9. Infested with 20 kids (adults sat on outside of pool). Splashing each other and jumping in and out constantly whilst screaming.
Room service slow - had to ask twice for things needed.
Front desk staff appear to be uncaring and not happy in their job. Particularly the manager Eddie Berg who sat in the office and didn’t bother to come out and see us personally. Finally got our chance to swim in the pool the next day when we were first there. In each corner of the pool mosquitoes were breeding and the overflow was green. When we advised front of house staff they went out back to speak to their manager Eddie Berg who passed on the message “it’s an outside pool, there will be insects in it.” I asked her to tell Manager (Eddie) that mosquitoes were breeding (about 20 that I could see on the surface in each corner) “we have never had a complaint before” I was told by front staff.
Bits of pizza and cheese stuck to the decking in the pool area. It had not been cleaned from the day before (or perhaps a week!).
Gusti Restaurant good service and food good (hence my one star). Told it was only $7 for my son for buffet breakfast but front desk said despite me being a member that it will be $10. We sat outside near the road to get the view of the river. Unfortunately people not staying at the hotel sat outside and smoked a few metres away. This was allowed by management.
Please do not stay here even if it was breakfast included - save up and stay at the real Crown hotel or anywhere else but here! It is not even 3 star. Even my primary school aged son found it disgusting. I have a video of the mosquitoes breeding if you want to see it feel free to message me. Rooms are not soundproof and screaming noise from pool continued until 10pm

We were excited for the great breakfast we had read about, but the buffet is not available now and the breakfast menu was horribly disappointing, unimaginably basic and absolutely not worth the extra we paid for it. Our room didnt get made up and it took 3 trips to reception just to get fresh towels & cups supplied. Apparently you have to ask on check-in if you want the room made up, but nobody told us that. The 'free' bike hire is great- 'but' there's only 2 bikes and if they're even available, only 2 hours are free. We had to pay $20 a night for parking but had to leave the car out on the road most of the time due to there being very few bays. Basically Crowne Plaza are charging full price for a crummy breakfast and slack hotel service.

I have stayed here three times over the past few weeks and I must say the service is excellent. Twice we were checked in by Jiin ( I hope we got her name right) and she was outstanding. She remembered us on the second check-in and had our bags retrieved from storage and in our room in minutes. She was very professional, informative and helpful with all our queries. The rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet and the views of the river are great. Each room has a small balcony which is completely separated from the balcony next door and so lovely and private. If you get a river view room the balcony is a beautiful place to sit and drink wine and watch the sunset. We ate dinner in the restaurant on Xmas night. It was a special buffet so I cannot comment on the usual menu, but the food was delicious and the service impeccable. I almost dropped a star for the internet connection, which is annoyingly unreliable, but decided that the service alone warranted 5 stars. The internet connection keeps dropping you off and you need to turn your wifi off and back on again to reconnect.

Booked in for a two night stay 10th September 2020. Initial impressions were that the hotel was quite dated compared to 6 or 7 other Perth hotels we have stayed at. However the room was clean enough, that was until we noticed a bathrobe had what looked like blood or lipstick all over the collar.
Breakfast on day one, eggs Benedict tasted strange like plastic, also ordered a Smoothie bowl and cut my gum on a shard of plastic in the dish. Informed the glum manager who simply said it was probably from a yoghurt pot and took the shard away ! no apology, just walked off.
Breakfast day two we ordered tea and were brought a pot for two, the pot furnished us with 1 full cup for my wife and a third of a up for me, when I asked if I could have more they were aghast. Also forgot to mention my teacup was dirty with coffee scum, asked the same Manager as previously and he told off the other staff member in front of everyone. Ordered eggs on toast x 2 & 2 smoothie bowls, the eggs on toast was fine but after waiting over half an hour for our smoothie bowls we just left without ever being served them. Worst customer service we have ever had, not sure how the restaurant manager still has a job.
Will definitely be using the other 4 and 5 star hotels in Perth for any future stays in Perth CBD.

I booked the Crowne Plaza based on the photos online but to be honest the hotel is far more dated than what websites would leave you to believe.
My room smelt like smoke even though it’s non smoking. The river view was not a river view but a view of the pool so I had to keep the curtains closed the whole time or people could see right in.
The bathroom was a bit shabby.
I paid $34 for valet parking even though I parked my own car and picked it up myself. They wanted to charge me a 1.5% surcharge to pay for the parking on a credit card which is ridiculous. I paid in cash instead.
The staff are nice and friendly but that’s about it. Didn’t like the hotel and I wouldn’t recommend it, it needs completely renovating. It looks like a simple Travelodge but is disguised online as a 4* hotel

OMG what a night last night was (27 Feb). The hotel was packed with 175 children and 300 parents all playing t-ball on Langley Park. The noise and crowd in the hotel was insufferable. Everyone had a trolley filled with equipment and to get to our room it meant negotiating a packed lift area and extremely noisy foyer. The noise was extreme at the pool and with the room over looking the pool it meant a very very late night as the pool seemed to never shut. The room, despite paying $360 a night, was small, uncomfortable and lacking any water to drink. Room service was non-existent as was any contact by phone to anyone of use in the foyer. There seemed to be a complete lack of any form of authority in the office. Chaos!
