Very poor cancellation policy and quarantine stayers. I booked with a friend in separate rooms for a work conference for 2 nights. There was an emergency change of plans and we had to check out one night early. My friend rang up and immediately received a refund for the Saturday night. I then rang immediately after and was told there was a strict no cancellation within 24 hours! Even after explaining my friend next door just checked out so had to pay the full amount despite ringing just moments after my friend. Also there was a quarantine person right next door and I had to kick takeaway boxes away from my door and when asked if I could move rooms they said there were people quarantining on all floors which I wish was disclosed prior!

We picked this property because we were able to take our 2 small dogs with us, which was fabulous. The property itself probably does needs some updating, but overall the location was ideal and central, the bed was comfy plenty of provisions for the dogs (bedding & bowls & pet friendly information for the CBD) and we were able to leave the dogs there, when we ventured to do a few non dog friendly outings. Plenty of dog friendly cafes and restaurants around the area (you just have to ask). The staff were lovely and helpful and other dog travelling guests were equally friendly. We will go back purely for this and hope other properties will consider providing pet friendly options.

Great to be able to travel with our two dogs into Perth Location is excellent. Everything is right here in the city and if you need to get out it is one turn before you are on the freeway. Rooms are nice. Beds are comfy. The bathroom is a bit dated decor wise but the important things are that they are clean and the shower is hot, with a shower head height that doesn’t required limbo skills and the water pressure is strong. It is very pet friendly. They provided two nice beds for our dogs with rugs and a set of water and food bowls. It the bathroom was a collection of poo bags, wipes for cleaning accidents and fluff roller. The rules are more than fair and very easy to comply with. They supplied a map with dog friendly cafes and walking areas. We parked on-site. It’s a tight squeeze but we have a smaller car and it’s easy to get back onto the road. I’m sure we will be back.

My partner and I brought our cat for a getaway in Perth for the long weekend. There were a lot of inconveniences we found with the hotel. First off, customer service was non-existent with regards to the booking process. Questions? Forget about it, the staff often did not know (even with bread and butter topics like early check in). Once you get there, there is NO PARKING on the premise. You are using a public carpark that they get a discounted rate (however you can only enter and exit once; so you have to really plan your journeys during the day). Moreover, the parking is a 6 minute drive away because it's on the opposite side of a divided street. The walk is about the same distance as well. They do offer a gym, but it's offsite and approximately a 10-15 minutes walk away. The rooms themselves were pretty good; a typical serviced apartment. Fairly clean, but nothing really to write home about (nothing in particular that's good or bad). You do only get one key though which is needed to keep the power on, so things can be a bit annoying if one person wants to stay home to freshen up while the other goes about shopping for example (you'll need the same room key to access the lift). The location is pretty fantastic and it's just about a 6 minute walk to the Hay street mall which is essentially the centre of the perth CBD. I'm not sure it was worth the effort brining a cat to the hotel, we may just get someone to house sit, send the cat to a cattery, or get a airbnb next time. It's a nice thought to have a hotel that allows our pets, but there were too many inconveniences to actually recommend this hotel.

Dear drJJPL, Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay with us over the long weekend. I do sincerely apologise that not all aspects of your stay met your expectations. Your comments about customer service have been shared with the team as we understand that answering questions prior to your stay is important and I do apologise that you did not receive the answers you were looking for. Whilst we do have limited parking onsite and the hotel does not have an in house gym, as you have mentioned, we have affiliations with near by facilities to be able to provide these services to our guests when staying with us. I apologise for the inconvenience of only being provided with one key, this has been raised with the team as for convenience to our guests, our standard is to provide our guests with two keys upon check in. It is great to learn that you enjoyed your clean 'pet friendly' room and the location of the hotel was ideal for your needs whilst staying in Perth CBD. Again, thank you for sharing your experience, we sincerely appreciate you sharing your feedback as this highlights areas that are most important to our guests for when we are reviewing improvement opportunities. Kind Regards, Sarah Brady Residence Manager

Having recently stayed in a lot of hotels in Perth city - the QT, the Adnate, The Duxton, the intercontinental and the level of facilities, interior, room layout are far superior to Citadine. When I got to my room I was quite disappointed. Showing its age, the desk is small and the room is not well laid out. I rang reception to check that this was in fact an “executive” room as it seemed very small and old. I was told that different room layouts mean that some seem smaller than others due to the building configuration? For me, there are much better options in the city.

Dear CooperBorn, Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay at Citadines St Georges Terrace Perth on TripAdvisor. I do apologise that your room did not meet your expectations. it is certainly great to receive feedback from guests, like yourself, who have stayed in a lot of hotels in Perth - this gives us great insight as to what is most important to our guests and where we should focus our future improvements and upgrades. It is true that our rooms differ in size depending on where they are situated within the hotel, however, if space is important to you when staying, I'd recommend our One bedroom apartment, or our Premier Studio rooms - these rooms are our largest room types and provide plenty of space during your visit. Once again, thank you for your feedback and I do hope that we have the opportunity to welcome you again. Kind Regards, Sarah Brady Residence Manager
