The Novotel Perth Langley hotel garners mixed reviews, with guests praising its central location convenient for exploring local attractions. Comfortable beds and a sky deck are among the amenities that earn positive remarks. However, opinions diverge on cleanliness, with some rooms requiring more attention.
While the atmosphere is described as outdated by some, with a need for modernization, others find the rooms spacious. Service experiences vary, ranging from professional to unprofessional. Guests caution that the hotel's value proposition may be compromised by overcharging and additional costs.

I booked this accommodation as I’m an Accor member and it was on an excellent deal. Upon arrival I was upgraded to a one bedroom apartment with a lovely view of the Swan River from both rooms. This made my week long stay extremely comfortable.
On-site secure car parking was easy.
Housekeeping were very attentive to my requests for more milk and coffee. Nothing was too difficult.

We have stayed at this hotel over many years and enjoy the hotel location and amenities of the area. It is only a few minutes drive to the Perth arena and opposite the river and close to Elizabeth Bay.
On this occasion we were upgraded to a suite with a walk in shower which we very much appreciated. Also as a Diamond member our carparking fees were reduced, We enjoyed the buffet breakfast and the staff were extremely efficient and friendly. The restaurant was being renovated so we were disappointed as we like to dine there. The Irish pub next door provided adequate dining options. The price paid for the 11 nights of accommodation was exceptional.

A lot to digest? Read an AI-generated summary of recent traveller reviews.
We stayed here overnight with several families, and had a good experience overall. The rooms were clean and tidy, and one of them even got an upgrade to a suite, which had lovely views over the river. The spa wasn't working properly, and this caused us some inconvenience, but staff were very apologetic, and we wouldn't have had a spa in a regular room anyway.
Not everything was perfect - there were a couple of glitches with checking in and getting rooms assigned to the right people (a new staff member was being trained, which may have caused part of the issue). Also not all the hotel room keys worked properly in the lift, and we had to get that sorted out. But the staff did everything they could to help once any issues were raised, and were very courteous.
Expect some extra costs for parking downstairs ($15 a day on weekends, otherwise $25), but this parking is convenient. Also the downstairs restaurant has great food, but is definitely on the pricey side. The breakfast buffet was fantastic, although it was overly busy and not enough staff were on hand to replenish the food quickly enough. Overall a good and positive stay.

As Accor Platinum members we are used to getting a room upgrade but not here. The room was on the second floor at the back of the hotel with no view whatsoever. Lighting was poor with no overhead lights in the room so had to sit next to the wall lights to read or do suduko! We received one complimentary bottle of water during our three days. Dinner in the restaurant was quite good and friendly staff. We prepaid for the kids meals at $7 per child per day and this was good value. Breakfast was ok but as other reviewers have said the pancake machine kept breaking down which disappointed the kids. They loved the childrens playground which we used each day.

Dear David S, I am sorry to hear that some aspects of the stay did not meet your expectations and that you did not receive a room upgrade on this occasion. Thank you for providing your feedback regarding the room lighting, your comments have been passed to our engineering department to review how they can be addressed. I am pleased to see that you enjoyed the dinner in Sen5es and that you took advantage of our children's dining package. I'm glad that your children had the opportunity to enjoy the play room during your stay. The pancake machine is a new addition to our breakfast selection and please be assured that we have since taken action to improve its reliability. Once again I would like to offer my apologies that some parts of the stay did not meet your expectations. I hope you will give us another opportunity on your next trip to Perth to provide a comfortable and enjoyable stay that meets our expectations, and yours as an Accor Platinum Member. We spent a night here with other families, and found the Novotel to be quite good. The service was great, with very friendly staff at the counter.
The rooms were all very clean and maintained, and Senses restaurant on the ground floor served a fantastic dinner, as well as a great breakfast buffet.
The location is particularly good, with the river being just a short walk, and yet it is still very close to the CBD.
Parking is available underneath the hotel, but be prepared to pay, unless the hotel includes the cost in your stay.

I stay in many Accor and Novotel worldwide. This one is below average standard.
With a 3am check in the only thing you want is your room asap.It ought be ready. Check-in ought not take 15-20 minutes.
Why the credit card block? The minibar was empty.Replaced with a note about the environment and use by dates and saving the balance sheet. Call room service if you want what must be some very date labile beer. I guess that would mean dealing at 330am with the same bloke who took 20 minutes to check me in at 3am.
Advertises 24/7 room service but menu stops at 11pm.
One bar of soap in a sachet, no complimentary water, no toothbrush or shaving amenities.
No cutlery at breakfast. Try to find staff, take 5 minutes to finish their table clearing before they go to look for cutlery while the hot breakfast gets cold.
Most novotels someone will table serve a coffee. Not here. Get it yourself, but still no spoons. Ask the staff? Not to be found...

We stayed 3 nights in this hotel, which was chosen because it is on the bus route for airport buses. The hotel itself is not very new but reasonably comfortable. The staff at the reception and restaurant were courteous and efficient. I was happy that I was automatically upgraded to a double Queen room on check in.
Room: fairly spacious, the bed and pillows were comfortable. I slept well during my 3 nights' stay. Free WiFi was available, was quite fast but had occasional drop lines.
Restaurant: good spread for buffet breakfast, and some items were varied everyday so that one would not be tired of eating the same things.
Location: along Adelaide Terrace with plenty of hotels and apartments nearby. Always good to compare prices with other accommodations before booking.

A modern style hotel with lovely refurbished rooms. Taxi rank opposite but bus stops in both directions 100 metres away in Adelaide terrace. Bus service free in entire CBD area. Reception friendly and helpful, 3 fast lifts, Senses restaurant offers enticing menu at reasonable prices, Fenians Pub on ground floor has excellent pub food served by obliging waters. Live music on weekends but not audible in rooms. Rooms are modern and spacious, mini bar and fridge and room safe. Bathroom good. House keeping very pleasant. Overall an excellent well run hotel.

I'd definitely rather give this 4 stars but it just fails in a few areas.
Note I'm reviewing a 1 bedroom apartment.
The hotel is very much what you expect from a Novotel, it's all pretty good but not exceptional. The location is good, a short walk to the main CBD area, maybe 10-15 minutes.
Staff are great, no complaints. The room is clean and not too worn out.
There are 2 main issues with the apartment. First, there is no washing machine/dryer in the room, pretty much the main reason I choose this style of accommodation when I travel. If I didn't require that I'd be in a suite. Second, there isn't a toaster or washing machine in the small kitchen. Also, a single wine glass, clearly from the Irish pub on the ground level of the hotel. It has the standard drink fill line on it, and the other glassware is also obviously from there as well. But one wine glass?
Lastly, the included breakfast is not great. It's not terrible, but it definitely isn't great and if I had paid for it separately rather than it being included I'd be quite disappointed.
Other little issues. I've stayed here twice in successive weeks, both times I've had to request toilet paper be delivered. Is it that hard to ensure there's always a spare in a room when it's being serviced each day? Also, the toaster issue. I personally called into reception on my way to breakfast one morning and enquired if there should be one in the room and the nice person said they would have it looked at. Midday the same day no toaster has apperared and no contact to say "sorry, we don't do toasters" or whatever. So I call reception around 1.30, the nice person that time said he doesn't know how toasters are allocated but knew that house keeping has some that they hand out and he would arrange it.
Anyway, still no toaster, and the aging loaf of bread I bought (remember this is an apartment with a full kitchen) is getting less palatable each day.
