I don’t think this hotel is in the best part of town but it is fairly central and easy to walk to some of the sights in the CBD and about 10 minutes walk from the station. However I wouldn’t walk around here at night on my own. I checked in quite late in the evening after a long flight from the UK. I had booked a small queen room and it was small. There was only a bedside table on one side of the bed, no wardrobe but two hooks with hangers on. There was a kettle, safe and fridge. The hotel website also mentioned a washing machine and tumble dryer for guests. What they did not tell me before I arrived was that there was building works going on in the hotel which started at 8 am. Not great when I was struggling with the UK / Australia time difference. It was quite noisy. The bed was really comfortable as there was a padded mattress topper. There was also air-con in the room which could be used to heat or cool the room. Although there was a mirror over the sink in the bathroom there was no mirror in the room with decent lighting to sort make up etc. out. There was a full length mirror near the door but not particularly well lit. The shower room was clean, with two large newish white towels provided. The water from the shower was hot, and decent pressure. It did leak a little under the door but not too much to become a problem. One of the issues with the room was noise control - I could clearly hear my neighbours raising and lowering the blind so there was definitely noise escape around the large windows. I was also woken during the night by one of the neighbours snoring loudly. And woken a few times each night by people returning to their rooms late. There is no restaurant for breakfast at the hotel but there are plenty of cafes locally. I chose this hotel because it was priced competitively but would not have chosen it otherwise

We recently stayed at this hotel for two nights and had a wonderful experience. The staff were friendly, funny and helpful, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The location was convenient, and the amenities provided were top-notch. We had no issues, good value for money, and I would highly recommend it. (4 stars)

I had the best experience at Pensione Hotel. I was a Victorian in Perth for the 1st time while my husband was a patient at Royal Perth Hospital and the reception staff were friendly, helpful and obliging. The room was comfortable and modern. The location was perfect for me. Walking distance to the hospital, Murray St Mall and Hay St Mall for a little retail therapy. Highly recommend staying here for any occasion.

Service from staff : Excellent! Very grateful for the free upgrade to a larger room. We left a garment in the room on check-out, and the staff were quick to reach out to us via e mail to let us know. Location : Centrally located. Easy walking distance to the malls and all public transportation. Bathroom : Clean. Hot shower worked really well. Equipped with all basic amenities. Bedroom : Clean. Mattresses were soft-medium firm, hugging the contours of the body. Air-conditioned worked well.

Fuss free stay with location walking distance from cafes, woolies, 24/7 convenience stores, restaurants and the trains. Convenient as well with the CAT bus stop. Room was clean and fuss free for our short stay in Perth. Service was good and helpful through checkin to checkout.

Friendly & helpful staff who helped getting heavy suitcases up steps. Good location close to bus stop, CBD. Excellent cafe for breakfast & lunch - limited menu but excellent staff & food. Rooms clean but no storage - no cupboard, no wardrobe or shelf in shower for soap. Good pub opposite.

Hi Josephine, Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your recent stay. We are so glad to hear that you were impressed with our team of staff and were able to get help with luggage up and down stairs when needed! We're happy that you were fond of OMG Cafe located next door - although they are not affiliated with the hotel- so we don't have any control over what they serve as they are a separate business. We look forward to welcoming you back next time you stay with us! Warm Regards, Julia - Duty Manager.

The location of this hotel cannot be beat. Minutes walk from shops/restaurants (at Murray and Hay st malls), train station, Elizabeth Quay, and many more city attractions. The hotel is currently going thru rooms refurbishment, but there was not much disruption and noise from the work. I’ve stayed at a refurbished petite queen room - the room is indeed very small (I knew that in advance) and is perfect for solo traveler. Itwill be too small for a couple. The room is very basic, and yet there is everything you need in it - fridge, coffee maker, great AC. The hotel staff was very nice and very helpful, and is available 24/7.

The room was small (but was very much expecting this and OK with it). It was comfy and clean which are the most important things. The staff were very nice and helpful. There were building works going on during my stay which tended to happen in the daytime so not great when I wanted an afternoon nap or a long lie. The hotel can’t help this but on Friday night the noise from a nearby bar was incredibly loud. Maybe a room on a higher floor would have helped this. Good location too.
