Pan Pacific Perth offers a blend of comfort and convenience, with its inviting lobby and well-equipped rooms receiving compliments from guests, though some feel the décor could use refreshing. The service at the hotel is frequently commended for staff helpfulness and professionalism, although occasional maintenance hiccups arise.
While the rooms are clean and spacious, noise from renovations can be an issue for some visitors. The hotel's amenities and prime location near city hotspots are well-regarded, contributing to the overall good value for money, especially for those accessing Pacific Club benefits.

An outstanding holiday contributed to by excellent staff. Reception check in was a very pleasent experience with Maaja-Liis. Very efficient and informative.Next the club hostess Mina was very friendly and welcoming adding to our experience. The concierge Pula was outstanding tracing and assisting the recovery of an I-Pad which was accidently left in a taxi. Finally the Guest Experience Manager Rohan made our stay memorable with his generous Birthday wishes and cake. He is an outstanding ambassadore for Pan Pacific Perth.

Stayed 3 nights with the family and it was a great experience.
Arrived earlier then expected and staff were fantastic providing us early access to the club lounge whilst our room was finished and then personally delivering the keys when it was available with the bags already delivered to the room.
The Premier suite was well presented with superb views over the water from the corner room. Features were great and so much space for the family. Only negative with the room was that the shower screen was configured in a manner so water ran onto the bathroom floor. We ended up using multiple towels to avoid it flooding the floor.
Each day we explored Perth the concierge staff were very welcoming and always provided assistance. The pool was heated well which provided a great space for the kids even when the winds were strong outside.
The club lounge had great staff who did not frown upon us bringing 2 kids in with us and the selection of canapes and drinks were fantastic especially the salt and pepper calamari on the Sunday evening. Breakfast we shared on different days between the main dining space and the club lounge and both provided a positive experience.
In all a fantastic stay and whilst being a few blocks from the Elizabeth Quay area it was an easy walk or the bus picked up from near the hotel entrance.
Some minor (or major) recommendations for management would be:
- The mini bar menu was difficult to locate on the television menu so having it as a standalone option might be easier.
- We noted stairs behind the pool which if possible to configure would be a great alternative entrance to the pool area so didn't have to traverse across the main foyer in towels.
- Look at improving the shower screen design.

Following a superb 3 night break at the Pan Pacific in Singapore, we arrived at the Pan Pacific Perth for a lovely 4 night break, which is conveniently sited near the Swan River and Perth’s CBD.
We had a really comfortable & spacious club room on the 8th floor, which was nicely located to the club lounge on the 7th floor where you can have tea/coffee/fruit and scones, as well as complementary drinks in the evening , as well as a nice range of tasty hot & cold canapés. The club lounge was managed by Mina who gave us a very warm welcome every evening, and efficiently ran the slick operation - the food & ice cold drinks were replenished regularly, and tables cleared and cleaned. A really friendly environment to work / socialise or just enjoy the food and drinks available.
There is a restaurant & bar on the ground floor and regular live music around the bar area.
We used the concierge service who helped us reconfirm our transfers, and assist with local excursions, and directions to local places of interest.
All the staff in the hotel were friendly and helpful.
We are spending another 9 nights in Australia, before returning back to the Pan Pacific Singapore, then flying home to the UK.
I can highly recommend both these hotels.

My Wife & I stayed here as was close to a specialist appointment, also 77% discount on the screen flashing so decided to give the 5 Star Hotel a go. $ 160 without breakfast.
Pulled up in our hire car to see bell boy smiling “ as he watched me get our suitcases out the boot, wife doesn’t understand as 2,3,4,&5 star hotels in Thailand get your bags and take to your room ! Bell boy offers to take bags once inside and as the check in is 5 meters away I say I’m fine.
Concierge gives our room cards, leave bags and tells me to park the car in “pay yourself car park “ 50M away with a car space number that was taken, I park another number where other hotel staff say park anywhere above 109 when I get back to check in. My bags are still at counter so I take myself.
4 star hotel in my opinion
plus - comfy king bed and pillows, big tv
Minus - outdated bedroom & bathroom ( different hot & cold tap handles, dark green tiles, 800mm x 600 mm shower, small bathtub, overpriced limited bar snacks drinks, dirty outside window wasn’t good for water view photo ! $18 p/d Parking cost me $25 LESS than 1 day ! Replace complimentary Shoe shine with a TOOTHBRUSH / TOOTHPASTE

We had never been to Perth and while we liked the Pan Pacific Hotel brand, the cost of accommodation is usually out of our price range. The Perth Pan Pacific offers everything the brand is known for, at a reasonable price. We booked online but when we arrived we were immediately offered an upgrade without asking. As well, the concierge worked tirelessly on our behalf to ensure we didn't miss a beat in terms of attractions. We also took advantage of the location to easily walk to the shopping district and nearby Swan River. We were also able to take a long walk to Kings Park. Can't say enough about this hotel.

I’ve stayed here before and won’t return. Upon arrival sink waste was faulty, safe didn’t work, shower mixer was defective and turns off as you shower. Cracked shower grout and bathroom grouting with mold on shower grout. Breakfast queue was awful on Saturday and Sunday took 45 minutes to get breakfast which was poor, coffee was tepid and spilt into saucers at breakfast and no saucer in the bar in the evening.
Ordered sticky date at the bar and were served Crème brûlée.
Booked club suite specifically to have access to the club lounge which was closed and not made clear when booking. Very disappointed this time. I thought part of the Covid precautions were that tables should be wiped down between guests but personally witnessed this not happening. On one occasion four couples sat at a table before it was wiped down. The delays with breakfast were awful. Then to make matters worse my poached eggs come out like hard boiled, see photo.
I appreciate that this may be a challenging time for hotels but it’s no excuse for sloppy standards and poor service. Not the attention to detail that you could once rely on from the Pan Pacific.

We cannot rate this hotel high enough. We had a fabulous 9 day stay in January. Everything we asked for was catered for, we had a few hiccups at the beginning but they were all sorted out.
Most amazing view for the Australia Day fireworks if your looking for a place to stay, this hotel has the best views.
Great location, restaurants and bars in the hotel, Irish pub across the road, we walked to Elizabeth Quay, (where we picked up a train to Mandurah) and walked to the cbd, but the free cat service (buses) stop close by if you prefer
The room was amazing, so much bigger than the website shows, seperate living area just great. The bathroom was amazing, very large, had fabulous toiletries replenished daily. Beautiful view of Swan River, very quiet.
We stayed in 2 executive suites, which were on the executive floors which had their own seperate 2 lifts to the main lifts, which were very quick. We had breakfast in the executive lounge on level 7 every morning, lovely selection of food and staff so polite and nice, and in the evening from 5.30 - 7.30pm there were complimentary drinks and snacks served, which was nice.
The staff were lovely, the concierge were lovely too,
If I did have to criticise anything, there would be 2 things.
1. The swimming pool is far to small for the size of the hotel, tried 3 times but it was so full every time.
2. We had car park included in our room. To park your car you park in the car park next door and get a car park ticket which you then go to reception when you are about to leave and swap your ticket for a ticket to get out. The hotel foyer does get very busy especially when the air cabin crew staff come in, the queue at reception can be very long at peak times. The ticket you are given from reception is dated way in advance, so I did try and change my ticket one day as soon as I parked as there was no one at the reception, (the first and last time that happened), but the young boy on reception refused to swap the ticket, even though my husband did this on a few occasions, there should be a quicker way to get out of the car park especially as it made us late for an appointment one day, maybe the concierge could handle this, but they are the only criticisms.
I would recommend anyone to stay here. It’s a lovely hotel, having stayed a few weeks ago in Brisbane at another 5 star hotel, Pan Pacific Perth far outshines that hotel.

This hotel is a great place stay, being a short bus ride or stroll to the city centre but far enough to relax and unwind. They have adapted their service for the current pandemic conditions, with many hand sanitiser dispensers within easy reach for general use. In absence of the closed Montereys buffet restaurant, if you have breakfast included, you can order your choice via in-room dining and it’s delivered to your room at the door maintaining healthy social distancing. Also the Lobby Lounge Cafe has expanded their range. Apart from coffee and sweet offerings, there’s refrigerated wraps, salads, fruit and drinks. New additions include takeaway steak sandwich and bacon egg roll. In the room, snacks and beverages have been removed with the complimentary tea, coffee and UHT milk still available. In-room dining menu has also been reduced however the staple dishes are pretty reasonable and good value. Connected car parking charge of $10 a day is very convenient. Always impressed with the welcoming and friendly staff at reception and concierge desk, it makes for a wonderful experience. Highly recommend staying here.

The actual stay at the hotel was fine, it was after the fact that completely ruined the experience for me. I had paid for my room ($232) plus a security deposit of $100, aware that the $100 would be refunded once everything was in order. I was told this can take up to a week which is understandable. Upon checking my bank account I had noticed I’d been charged not only the $332 but also $232 separately.
I called the hotel to question it and the person who answered was so rude. He kept talking over me just repeating that it’s the security deposit, “refresh on Monday and it will be returned” he wouldn’t let me explain that I had been charged twice and more than I was told.
I ended up calling my bank and they verified that the hotel had made a mistake and they were holding $332 in a pending transaction and I’d been charged the $232. They advised me that once the hotel leaves it in pending it will eventually be returned to me or they could do an immediate release of funds. I had to then call back the hotel, I ended up asking to speak to someone else who would actually listen. The next lady I spoke to at least had the decency to not interrupt me and rectify the issue to the best of her abilities. Although I still didn’t get a single apology or anything and she just blamed the bank saying it was their issue not the hotels.
If the first person I spoke to had just taken the time to listen to me and fix the mistake instead of just speaking over me it would have been a totally different experience. A simple apology, ownership of the mistake and some understanding can go a long way.
It’s really unfortunate because the 5 employees I interacted with during my stay were absolutely wonderful. From the moment I walked in the door and checked in to getting a coffee at the cafe downstairs, everyone was courteous and friendly.

Dear Emily Please accept my sincere apology. Usually we are the whipping boys for the banks when it comes to pre-authorisation charges but clearly on this occasion we have ourselves fallen short. I do regret that this has tarnished your opinion on what looked to be a great stay until check-out. The team will collectively be disappointed to read your review. We hope to welcome you back and recover that perception. Rob Weeden - GM

We had 4 nights here in a Premier Suite booked through our Discovery membership. On the 22nd floor and facing the river and Elizabeth Quay, the views were wonderful. The Suite was comfortable and very quiet. The coffee plunger and small packets of ground coffee were a great touch. The only possible gripe was the shower over the bath which is always a challenge although there was a non-slip mat for the bath to make it a little less dangerous.
The location was great, about 10 minutes walk to either Elizabeth Quay or the Hay and Murray St malls. About 10 minutes the other way is the suburb of Carlton which had a number of interesting local restaurants.
Breakfast in both the lounge and Montereys was good. The lounge is calmer but Montereys has a larger selection.
We were also able to use the lounge in the evenings where drinks and canapés were offered from 5.30 to 7.30. It was very busy over the weekend but much quieter on the week nights. We especially appreciated being able to use the lounge on our last day when we had a very late overseas flight.
Given that that our room type included breakfast and evening nibbles and drinks, it was very good value.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
We don’t think we could have stayed anywhere better!
