Excellent service from the time of booking through check-in, during the stay and at check-out. The room was beautifully clean and well appointed. Really comfortable bed and pillows too. The only criticism is that the bathroom fittings are in need of maintenance. Taps are difficult to turn on and off and the shower head and arm completely immovable.
We recently enjoyed a Girl's Weekend Getaway as part of the July Winter Dinner, Bed and Breakfast Promotion. The twin room was absolutely lovely and the buffet dinner and breakfast was definitely a highlight. All staff were amazing. The location is perfect in the city with easy access around using the free city "CAT" transport system. Can't wait to come back.
I have stayed in many hotels in Perth, Western Australia as well as across the world and I never submit reviews. If the customer service hadn't been so terrible I wouldn't have bothered commenting. Firstly the rooms were standard and within a reasonable price range for comfort. The decor and linen is slightly out dated but I did consider the hotel being European and that was probably fitting. My biggest concern though far outweighs and positive review I could write. I had to leave my room to exit the hotel and walk next door which is located approximately 5metres away on the corner to access the hotel restaurant. When I entered politely i was immediately approached by the restaurant manager. I explained I was a guest at the hotel I needed to use the bathroom and would book a table for myself and my son. The restaurant manager made me feel extremely uncomfortable as she didn't believe me . if I hadn't taken my hotel key out of my bag right in the middle of the restaurant in front of other guests she followed me as I walked to the bathroom and I showed her my key and asked if there was access to the hotel in that direction. I went to the bathroom and the manager quickly approached me again for what reason I'm not sure I think she inspected the bathroom and then followed me out of the restaurant. I went to my room and picked my son up to join me for breakfast (He was getting ready). When we entered the restaurant both my son and I noticed employees talking amongst themselves and then constantly eye balling us. My son usually has no acknowledgement of strangers in public but this one particular occasion he didn't feel comfortable helping himself to the buffet and we didn't end up enjoying or finishing our breakfast. Not to mention when we returned to our room cleaners were waiting to inspect and clean the room.we overheard a cleaner laughing and talking unprofessionaly on the phone about her work. I have never felt so discriminated against in my life. A person should never have to feel as though they aren't welcome when they are courteous, quietly spoken and a polite paying customer. No different to anyone else other than our physical appearance. The restaurant manager should be ashamed of herself and should never work in customer service. It is extremely unprofessional. The hotel obviously have new owners/management.…
The friendly and welcoming staff, and the beautiful rooms made my stay here very enjoyable. Also, the hotel is situated in a great location (in the heart of Perth CBD), surrounded by many shops and easy access to public transport (which is great!). Would highly recommend staying at European hotel!
Made reservation through my international airline as part of a package. The room rate was reasonable while offering good location, legendary breakfast as well as friendly and competent staff. The building was constructed in 1911 and has been updated with WiFi, AC, mini fridges etc. The onsite restaurant offers smorgasbord style, breakfast, lunch and dinners as well as individual entrees. Onsite prepared pastries for this restaurant and other Ms Maud shop locations in Perth are great. The big reason I would return is that the staff truly seem to value you as a guest and make you feel welcome
