I spent three nights at the 3-star Comfort Inn being a tourist in the city. It was a comfortable and well-appointed older hotel that had all you would need for a stay. A comfortable bed and spacious room with a kitchenette provided all facilities if you chose not to use the restaurant on site. The included breakfast was very satisfying and the meal I had one night was very tasty and reasonably priced. All staff were friendly and accommodating of any request. The free WiFi had good reception for multiple devices. The free secure parking saved any worries about my car, and the central location made accessing public transport a breeze! It's only about 250m to the free Perth CAT buses that run all over the city. Yes, there are a few signs that it is a bit older but it was clean and the room serviced daily with all the touches I have expected to find in more expensive hotels. The clientele included business groups and families who all seemed to be well looked after. I will happily stay there again.

We stayed here for 3 nights whilst on a WA touring holiday. Limited secure parking is available here (non reservable), with other spots available at the hotel across the road when it is full up. We were lucky enough to get a spot each day though.
Reception staff were friendly and helpful.
The hotel was busy they time we stayed with school groups booked here, but it wasn’t a problem. Hotel was still quiet, just a bit busy at breakfast service. Breakfast itself was great, lots of choices, hot and cold.
Our room was fairly basic, but clean. Bed was comfy for a good sleep.
The shower was nice and hot.
Hotel is located handy for sightseeing- 5 min walk to the Perth Mint, plus dining options. Also only a 10 min walk to No Birds car rental so easy to drop off the hire car and walk back to hotel ready for next morning’s uber to the airport.
Would happily stay here again

Stayed here for a week. There is nothing particularly special about this hotel. Rooms were comfortable and clean, staff were reasonably friendly and provided assurance when required. The location of the hotel is okay with a short trip to Perth central, or a short walk to the river. There are some good coffee shops nearby and public transport is easily accessible. It’s a good hotel for those on a strict budget.

We stayed one night & booked last minute after arriving on an international flight late in the evening. Reception was very helpful & we really appreciated the late check out. We had a very large room, comfortable bed & air-conditioning. The room came with a microwave & crockery. We did find we could hear talking from the room next door & the bathroom is small with an unusual layout making it hard to move around. The location is good & you can easily walk along the river into town.

Needed a last minute room in Perth due to a medical appointment.
Checked in on 15/07 and was followed by another guest who harassed me to go to his room for a drink - turns out he was next door to me and felt extremely unsafe.
Additionally, as soon as I got to the floor it stank of marijuana and was concerned of how this would affect my health in preparation for my medical appointment.
Called my partner (who works away and couldn’t be with me) in shock who called the duty manager to try help.
My partner is a former hotel manager who tried to calmly explain the situation and ask for help, and was in no way rude but the
duty manager screamed at my partner when asking for help saying that they have made him “viscous” and “don’t believe it” and hung up. Absolutely disgusting especially considering I was in need of help. I felt sick about the situation and the way the duty manager handled it, I was scared for my safety and well-being and the staff didn’t believe me.
The duty manager soon rang my room and rudely said “are you’re checking out” and I said “yes” and rudely hung up on me.
I came downstairs and explained what had happened, no questions regarding “are you okay”, they demanded my card, gave a refund for the night and was on my way.
I do appreciate the refund, but the lack of empathy and criticism I felt for something beyond my control was disturbing. Why be in the service industry if you treat your guests who are trying to do the right thing like this?
For $40 more for the night I checked into the pan pacific down the road where the concierge walked me to the door, they upgraded me for free, had security present in the hotel and offered food as I was shaken up from my experience at the Comfort Inn. Please take this into consideration if you are a solo traveler.

Extremely basic room in the shape of a concrete box. The bathroom was 1.5mtrs square which was tiny and dated. The sign on the door warned of a $1000 fine if the alarm system was triggered by deodorant or steam from the shower…so keep the door shut! The door to bedrooms was missing. The lounge sofa collapsed in the middle when used. The volume button for the lounge TV worked in reverse. The power point in the main bedroom automatically turned off at 9pm so power the TV and fan was disconnected and turned itself back on at 7.30am which is a pain if you are still sleeping! The cupboards were hanging off the wall. There is a $10 charge if you don’t wash and put away your cups in the kitchen. The doors to the bedrooms were greasy. The table top was hanging on by a thread. There was coffee and tea making facilities with complimentary coffee and tea and milk. The sheets were clean but extremely worn. Ample towels but no flannels to was your face. Toiletries supplied. The toilet doesn’t flush properly. Shower pressure was good. Blood stain on the bedroom curtains. Paintwork is badly in need of attention. Overall this was a terrible place to stay and would not stay here again.

Now where should I start
On entering the reception area was very dated and dirty ( yes we arrived for check in at 8pm at so they may have been busy)
The lifts are small and again dated.
As for the room itself looked like a typical 70’s style motel room
The bed spread was hideous and only one pillow per person on the bed luckily there was an extra 2 in the wardrobe.
There was a hot plate thing in the small kitchen area that was very greasy to touch.
The shower room was very small but on a plus point Free shower gel all though was not enough for 2 people to have a shower before bed and the following morning
What I didn’t like to find was 2 hairs on the side of the sink which showed the place had not been cleaned properly.
When checking out this was mentioned and all the receptionist could say was “I will speak to the cleaners”

Only use this hotel if you are struggling to find somewhere else and don’t stay more than one night.

The free Wi-Fi was awful had struggled to get in and if you did then it would kick you off

Over a 5 night booking our room was not properly serviced even once. When we put out the 'Please do this room' (should clients need to ask?), the towels were changed. Nothing else in the room was attended to or cleaned.
During one evening when we complained about not even being able to hear the television due to the noise coming from the room next door, we were told, "they're young, they're obviously having a good time, if the noise continues we can move you to another room". Seriously, we had to potentially be further inconvenienced because of other people's noise and paper thin walls?
The room itself was 3 star at best, but we knew we weren't paying for 5 star.

Booked through another 3rd party booking site so did not receive updated email with important information but Manager on duty, Craig was extremely obliging and quickly resolved our issue. Very big thank you to Craig. We have stayed here before and the location is perfect for Australia Day. Rooms are clean and comfortable with air conditioner. Basic toiletries are provided. Tea, coffee and milk in the room. There is also a sofa and tv. Kitchenette with breakfast bar and stools. Crockery, glasses and cutlery. Didn't check the cookware. There is a stove top and microwave. We only stayed one night and ate out.

Booked 2 adults & 1 child 12 & under (I wasn't required to specify age on booking site - my girl is 12). On arrival a rude & arrogant receptionist told us we only had twin beds provided as "a child usually means a baby"?! He did eventually change us to a 4 bed room. Upon entering our shoes stuck to the dirty floor in the kitchen area. ,There was a grubby uncleaned portable cooktop, the table and surfaces throughout the room had sticky patches & drink rings. The bathroom was grotty with what appeared to be never- cleaned grout & a dirty basin. The ironing board collapsed when pressure (i.e. the iron) was applied to it. We used one of the token operated washing machines for guests & had to rewash elsewhere as everything stunk. The only redeeming features here were a good cooked breakfast & lovely housekeeping staff.
