Fraser Suites Perth receives accolades for its cleanliness and modern atmosphere, with guests frequently praising the spotless rooms and the hotel's contemporary feel. While the amenities—including a gym, pool, and the comfort of the rooms—often impress, some guests have reported issues with service consistency and maintenance. The friendly and efficient staff members stand out for many, although there are remarks concerning occasional unprofessional behavior and sluggish service. Despite the enjoyable spacious rooms with delightful river views, some travelers question the value, pointing to steep parking fees and room-related shortcomings.

Spacious rooms with lots of living space. We stayed 2 weeks and needed two bedrooms and had two units connected by common small hallway. We just kept both front doors open with a doorstop provided. The beds and pillows were comfortable and the furnishings were simple but comfortable as well. Convenient in room laundry and the kitchen was functional and comes with dishwasher. Large TV provided in lounge and both bedrooms, and the TV is paired with a DVD player, though we never used the player so cannot comment on quality. Coffee in the lounge bar is excellent. There is 24hr room service though we didn't actually order any fod after hours. There is a self park garage though spaces are limited and you often have to park in the disabled spots when there are no other spots left (a first experience for me). Staff are friendly and helpful. There is a 20m indoor pool and a large warm spa and a steam room. There is a 24hr gym that was excellent. Next door to the hotel is a small 24hr convenience store.

It wasn't a perfect experience. The first 3 days we had technical issues with our electronic keys and had to get them reprogrammed daily as we were often locked out. It turned out to be a computer issue and once sorted properly the keys worked perfectly the rest of the stay. Most clients seem to stay only a few days so the bins are small. There is no central bin chute on the floor so we had to call maid staff every 2 to 3 days to empty our bins. There was only a once a week room clean provided and we did have to call for things like toilet rolls.

All in all very good and we are planning on returning next year for our holidays.

My experience at the hotel honestly leaves me speechless for the price we paid. (In a very good way)

I had a couple weird problems with my room like the phone not being hooked up when I arrived an had to wait about and hour until the problem was completely fixed, but this was because someone took the connection cord that may have stayed in the room before me.

I also dealt with complex safety issues (not the hotels fault in any way) and they made me feel very safe, secure and were more than helpful with the situation.

I had to check out early due to life complications and they did make me pay for two nights because of the abrupt cancellation (I feel like if I explained the situation of my leave they would have fully reimbursed me from their outstanding service but it was not a large concern of mine) I was a bit sad but this was also understandable and like I said for the price I paid for my stay the loss was not a big deal compared to the hotel quality and great service I received.

I won’t lie either my partner can be a bit high maintenance and was not very polite after having minor complications and they responded in a super kind and respectful manner.

They also offered me a free fruit plate and I feel they herd I was quite sad on the phone and staff was extra nice when delivering the fruit tray and making sure I was okay and If I was in need of anything else.

From my experience (this was my first time in Australia so I am comparing to out of country) I would not be able to have such a wonderful stay for even $300 a night. (Which I have paid previously)

On top of all this I got the room the same day I booked and paid in cash (was having problems with my credit company) and they were completely accommodating to my situation and still paid a more than fair price.

The hotel is also located in an amazing location, I went for beautiful walks every morning and saw many beautiful animals. It may be a long walk for some but multiple time I walked to and from Elizabeth key.

The breakfast they serve in the morning is definitely worth it! Very delicious and with lots of options and at times I can be pretty picky!

Right across from the hotel entrance is a restaurant that has a lot of vegetarian and vegan options and to this day I still am drooling over how tasty it was.

Will definitely be staying here again! Wish I had taken more pictures but was having a break away from my phone during this trip💕

We stay here 2 to 3 times a year and find that it's in the best location for walking or a quick taxi to restaurants and a very short bus trip to Afl footy.
Rooms are always spotless , quiet and very comfy bed .
We booked a one bedroom executive apartment which had a lounge and dinning table Washer / Dryer/Dishwasher and full size Fridge/Freezer so would be good for extended stays .
Also good to have Friends up for drinks with extra space .
Good value for money
No mini bar but we ordered Sparkling and an extra glass from room service and was promptly delivered although glass and drink were delivered separately which seemed strange to me
Only disappointing part for me was room service ends at 9pm .
Not sure about restaurant or bar as Covid 19 restrictions may be in place

Had a great check in experience with one staff lady who was lovely. It went down hill from there. Next day i requested an item from my room at 7am and asked reception who had 6 staff all standing around and was told it would be delivered to my room. I return that afternoon and only half of my room to be tidied up and my requested item not in my room. I went back to reception and asked again for the item and they said they would arrange it. I return to my room and again no item. After several requests via the online app and still no item. I call reception to then be told "sorry they are all gone the last one was just given to another room" when i explained that i have been requesting since that morning a very rude staffer said "well not much i can do they are gone". I tried to heat up a meal in my room and found the microwave had baked on food from god knows how long and i had to take the plate out and soak it in the shower to get it washed properly. To then have a message on my phone to say "sorry bout the microwave" Second night and my night was awakened by cigarette smoke coming through the room. I am not a smoker so this made me quite ill. Again no one in reception could assist. No local shops except convenience stores that over charge for basic items and in room dining also overpriced with very little to choose from.

This hotel is shocking. We booked 6 days in advance and then waited 20/30 minutes to be allocated a room! We requested a bath and a river view and were told we had to take a disability room as it was the last one left with a river view and a bath. This was fine. Upon going into the room, no bath. When we questioned it downstairs I was told “no it is a disability room we told you it had no bath” even though this was not the case. I was served by a training staff at check in and he was the one who said there was a bath. When questioning it I spoke with the manager and she was extremely rude about it and made us feel stupid. Training staff need more training on the types of rooms and the manager needs to learn some manners, she was very rude. We kept the room in the end. It was clean however no bin bags are provided for the kitchen or bathroom, the in room dining menu is very small and doesn’t have many options and there was no pens in the room to be able to fill in the breakfast checklist to leave on the door. There was a broken chair in the bathroom and being a disability room that certainly is not okay!
At check-in, they take the room payment as well as a non-refundable deposit even though nothing was wrong with the room when we checked out. Appalled.
We were told at check in that the garage car park was not open for customers so we parked on the street and then upon checking out were asked if we parked in the garage. The staff need a lot more training on etiquette and the way the hotel is run because there is so much mis-information and everyone tells you a different thing. I will never stay here again, it is a joke of a hotel. Don’t let the cheap pricing pull you in, it is cheap for a reason.

I’m currently at the Frasier suites in Perth second night in and it’s been rather disappointing. Firstly my kids and I walked into our room which had a really bad smell almost like people had been smoking in it but I didn’t want to jump to conclusions so I opened some windows and later it was fine. I then looked over at my 1 year old by the dishwasher only to see him playing with the button panel on the dishwasher which was hanging off with exposed wires!!! I freak quickly grabbed him and called reception to inform her in which she replied “there are no electricians now, but I will call one first thing in the morning.” I’m thinking surely she’s joking but nope so I says no lady this is a health and safety issue I have three kids so this kinda needs to be sorted now! So she comes up with some tape, tapes it up and says I will let an electrician know in the morning. No worries morning comes still no word on the electrician .. but I brush it off as I didn’t want this to ruin our weekend even though I was starting to regret booking here. So in the morning we pushed our cleaning service button and took off for the day. 2pm we arrived back into our room and to our surprise no electrician and still our room hadn’t been cleaned . Wow ok they must be really busy 3pm comes still no cleaners hmm ok I’ll call them, So I call them as we desperately needed some more towels and reception tells me that she will inform housekeeping. Ok no worries an hour later still no cleaners still no electrician 530pm I call them again as I really needed to get my baby showered and ready for bed and she says she will let housekeeping know the urgency. Cool. 630pm still no electrician still no cleaners at this point I felt really deflated, angry and really disappointed. It got to the point where I had to get my mum to come pick up my baby and take him home 7pm again still nothing I walked downstairs with my 1 year old and my mother and explained to them that this was totally unacceptable we got an apology but by this point I was done. $1000 for two nights thats a lot of money I really expected 5 star service but for me to have to send my child back home on our family weekend because of the hotel standards that’s saying a lot. So again Frasier suites you should be sued for not noticing the dangers in your hotel rooms and pushing a mother to send her baby home because of negligence from your staff.

There were some negatives and some positives.
The check in process was easy, the staff were super kind and organised a kitchenette room for me. Super friendly and great stay! I wish my check in time was sooner than 3pm.
What stuck out for me was the pool facilities, the pool was warm which makes it easy and desirable for all people, the spa was beautiful and big. The gym was great! However, I think that staff need to come around more often because there was dirty towels and cups on the gym machines, also dirty towels around the pool. The towel baskets are too small, therefore people were putting them on or around the basket. The pool also needs to be more closely monitored because when you’re coming for a luxe stay, it’s hard to watch children running around the pool nearly slipping and also throwing towels into the pool. One also put their wet towel back onto the clean towel rack. I loved the amenities in the kitchenette, allowing me to reheat and eat my own meals. I would recommend a bar or menu down by the pool. It was definitely missing a cocktail menu! Also, would be nice if there were more eating places on premises. The breakfast place was closed and no bar on site. Overall, I spent most of my time relaxing by the pool, great amenity, I booked for pool relaxation time and it did not disappoint!

Looking online everything looks fantastic. Well it was very deceiving. First of all there is limited parking. Even I’d you’ve booked a higher end room parking is first come first serve. Now the room. Design and ammenities are great. Dishwasher, washer and dryer, decent size fridge freezer. The hotel doesn’t offer an accessible ice machine and is only available from room service by the bucket. Carpet looks old, wrinkled and clumped in spaces. Vents in the bathroom area haven’t been dusted in years. Tiles were cracked in the bathroom also. In the bedroom one down light was broken and when I turned on the beside lamp in crackled and smoked. Room service was very average. Not only was it over 1/2 hour late both times it was ordered it was expensive for what is was and the cheese platter that was served with soft cheeses on it was prepared two days early as there was a sticker staying on the cardboard box it was delivered in. Informed this to the front desk but they tried to explain that food is prepared in advance. Not good enough with cheese that is pre cut. Lastly breakfast in the restaurant is only available weekends and not during weekdays. For $220 per night was very average. Location is away from any decent places to eat also.

Fraser Suites is not a five star hotel. The staff are rude and unresponsive, the room still had rubbish in it from a previous guest, the kitchen utensils provided in the kitchenette are of the cheapest possible quality. My husband and I stayed here to complete self isolation, which the hotel had come highly recommended for, but i don't recommend it for this. Any time you want groceries or uber eats delivered to your room the hotel charges you an extra $10 delivery fee to bring it from reception. Even requesting basic things like cleaning products and clean bed linen took 3 or 4 phone calls to reception as they would always forget what you'd asked for. The breakfast from the hotel restaurant is also disgusting (undercooked and with no seasoning). Really bad service and bad experience. Overpriced for what it is too.

After looking around online and checking the website, which made the place look 5 star, decided to pay almost $400 per night for 2 nights, for a 1 bedroom 'serviced' apartment, to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary. Upon arrival it was clear this is no 5 star hotel. From the car parking issues to the stains on the furniture, the experience is one I will never repeat. Once we found a park, as none of the $30 per night hotel spots were available, we entered our apartment to find the lounge suite stained, the fridge completely unbalanced and held in place with a wooden wedge, and the dryer did not work. The sliding door to the bedroom would not stay open and always slide half closed, exposing a large amount of built up dust on the door. The plug in the bath was broken and would not drain without me having to fully remove it rather than just turn lever as it was designed to do. On our 2nd day, we left the room@7.30 am and switched on the "Clean" sign. We returned at 2.30pm to find the room still not cleaned. I went to front desk to query this and was brushed off, stating that they were very busy and would get to it when possible. Eventually a cleaner arrived and had to work around us as we were wanting to spend some down time in the apartment. Overall, highly disappointed in our experience. Fraser suites are dated and in need of upgrade if they think they are still 5 star. Will never stay here again and will never recommend to anyone.

Do all balcony rooms have a view of the river?
Answer from 801vaheb
Perth, Australia3 contributions
Not that I’m aware of . Most do , but the closer the room is to the East side of the building , the better the view . The West (city side ) balcony rooms have more obstruction in the form of a big office building in front. Best to ask reception to give you the best balcony room with a view that they can :) Hope this helps.
