I always check Nomads backpackers when I get to a new city in New Zealand. Charging the same price as most other backpackers, they offer much more for those dollars. The kitchen is on the top floor with a lovely rooftop balcony and a hot tub (!), rooms are basic but functioning, bathrooms aren't the best but there's more than...

Budget traveller hostel, you need to be prepared for being less time possible at the hostel. Price: average Comfort: low. shared an 8 room which was dirty, stinky, beds were quite noisy with every movement. Bathroom on 2nd floor was closed due to "maintenance", having to go to others floors, which is very unconvenient, they were also dirty. PROS: very...

Awesome place to stay for a quick trip to Auckland!! Went through online so got room for $34 instead of $40. Shared mixed room of 6, beds are to be expected firm but comfortable. Staff were really helpful. Tip : bring your own Towel as it's $5 to hire with a $10 bond that you get back. Noisy but prime...

I stayed in basic bunk room. 2 bunks, small room with small bathroom (shower and toilet) attached. Adequate and good for the price. Not a bad option when every other places are full. Short walk to britomart and Vectra Arena. Car parks nearby.

stayed here for 7 days in Feb 2017 pros: location is close to queen street, close to the harbour, close to some clubs and plenty of places to eat and drink around. Cheap accommodation, neat, has a nice big kitchen and common room. The rooftop deck overlooks the harbour and has some nice obstructed views. cons: no aircon in the...

Good location but dirty facilities. OK for 1 nigth or two but if you can choose another place do it. You can find better for the same price. No free Wi-Fi in the hostel you have to go to the travel agency next to the hostel.

I stayed in 6-bed female dorm. For that price I understand that it can't be 5 starts, but it could be a little better.. Uncomfortable beds, very loud place. Air conditioning doesn't seem to exist or work. Super friendly staff though, and the location is perfect.

Almost everything was no good. One of the reception was not friendly. She ignored my "Hello". Laundry was expensive. Free wifi is not free. It is also very slow. Shouting drunken ladies and boys are in front of the street until early morning, especially weekend. The dorm bed was infested with ticks. I don't recommend the backpackers.

Very clean and nice hostel. Nothing amazing special about it, but a great place to stay if you're in Auckland and I wouldn't recommend staying in any other area. Staff were nice and friendly and and the bathrooms were nice and clean :-)

Finished our 7 months travels here and it was ok. Had to pay $34 to park for 24hours which is annoying, large hostel, friendly enough staff, decent room and to be fair really good bathroom and showers, the kitchen is a bit small and lack of running water at times. The best thing about this place is the rooftop eating...
