Dirty place, look terrible. Someone enter in my room in the middle of the night claiming it was his room😳. We had to convinced him it was not. Why his key opened my room door?...good question. That place is not safe at all!!! Avoid that place!!!!!!😑

I don't often like leaving negative reviews but I feel like we were a bit misled with Princeton Apartments. We booked through booking.com, where it simply states that this is budget accommodation. We've been travelling for a long time and have stayed in all manner of accommodation so aren't often too fussy. However, being described as budget accommodation we assumed... More

We stayed one night at the Princeton Apartments as a group of 12 people. Although all the reviews are pretty bad, the place was not as terrible as it is made out to be. The staff kindly let us lock our bags in the office as we arrived a few hours before check-in, so we didn't have to carry them... More

New Zealand is expensive, therefore you can't expect luxury for under £30 per night, staff are not very friendly nor helpful, but they do let you leave your bags in reception if you arrive before check in or leave after check out. Rooms are small, but clean, as are the bathrooms, although shared, it is only between 2 rooms, so... More

I expected 'budget' accommodation but certainly didn't expect the unhygienic conditions of this establishment. It was horrendous. Yes, the rooms were tiny and no frills, but I didn't expect much more for $49/night. Coat hangers and mattress protector, I did expect...but there were neither. Who in this day and age doesn't use a mattress protector?! Especially an accommodation provider! The... More

I would highly recommend avoiding this place. - My room had a disgusting smell throughout the stay. - The bed was extremely uncomfortable, I could feel the springs when I slept. - Room was generally dirty & dilapidated. - No free wifi and when I paid for it, the service did not function properly.

Booked on booking.com, and no-where on there does it state that this is a 'hostel'! But it was disgusting. Stayed in a double room for one night, which had a bed and a desk - the wardrobe is pointless as you can't open it due to the bed! There is then a tiny kitchenette and bathroom you can share with... Stayed for four nights in November as a couple. The rooms are tiny - a small double bed, desk and chair and a storage unit. Then a minuscule kitchen ( fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, hob and sink ) and a shower room with toilet and tiny sink. You share the kitchen, shower room and entrance with one other "room". We... Apart from the fact that there was no sign telling you how to get into the building (though it just takes a minute of searching to work it out yourself) the apartments were pretty good for the price. We chose to pay on check out just in case all the bad reviews were true but we were pleasantly surprised. We... More
