I knew I was getting a bargain and I soon found out why. On arrival, everything was smooth check in was easy. Once we got to our room. It was awful. Our floor smelt like old cheese. Once we opened our door there were dirty dishes pulled in our shared unit (I had no idea it was shared). We carried...

Ignore all bad reviews! The staff at this hostel were beyond some of the nicest we have encountered. So helpful anytime we asked for anything he was so helpful and smiley! The room itself had a wardrobe and chairs and the bed was big and comfy! We were provided with tea and coffee which we asked for more and got...

Stayed for a couple of days, this is extremely close to CBD. The accommodation is really cheap for central Auckland and although run down, it is comfortable and clean. They do not offer parking onsite and on the street can be difficult, you typically have to drive a couple of blocks in all directions to find something. There are parking...

It wasn't until we arrived at Princeton Apartments that we realised why this apartment was soo cheap. We paid $59 a night and we found out this was for a good reason. The apartment was dirty and the floor we stayed on smelt like cabbage! I didn't feel comfortable walking bare foot into the bathroom, so I wore jandals in...

Stayed in a single room, with a (very) small shared kitchen. Room was extremely small, bed was awful full of bumps and holes, bathroom not very clean. Quite noisy (large highway crossroads right behind the building), staff wasn't very nice. Just not a great experience I'm afraid.

So you share the bathroom with only one other room and on our second night there was no one staying in the other room. There is a little kitchenette which is dirty and the bathroom sink is so small its hard to shave or wash you face. However this is in the heart of Auckland and if you plan to...

The hostel is huge, with small boring rooms in a sort of hotel appartment where there is two bedrooms that share bathroom and a very small kitchen. Our bathroom was very old and runed down, it had not been cleaned in sometime. And the fan in the bathroom made alot of noise when you turned on the light, that we...

I don't often like leaving negative reviews but I feel like we were a bit misled with Princeton Apartments. We booked through booking.com, where it simply states that this is budget accommodation. We've been travelling for a long time and have stayed in all manner of accommodation so aren't often too fussy. However, being described as budget accommodation we assumed...
