good value for $75 a night, pretty basic but clean and tidy with a comfy bed and a good shower. tea and coffee, microwave and tv. think upmarket backpackers, it's my new first choice in Hamilton. two good fish and chip shops a short walk away, one left and one right.

Spent one night here. I had to book on same day as it was a last minute thing. Arrived at 2130 and paid my $75 for the night. The car park area was dark and no lighting. I stayed on the first floor up the rickety steel stairs. The room was run down to say the least. Peeling paint. Rusted...

Having read lots of reviews we had few illusions, but needed a room for after the rugby. Room clean, only water available from the (cracked) handbasin in the toilet. Missing lightbulb in bathroom (just use one from the bedroom). No cutlery or kitchen utensils. eg no toaster, no plates, no cutting board. Why have a microwave, then? Plug-in heater and...

It's basic and old and a little run down but to be honest it was ok. It was clean, the bed was firm and the bathroom was ok. It's not ideal for long stays or families but overnight it was good. The front rooms a noisy as they are on the main road, but it's not as bad as I...

We had 2 rooms booked. Both rooms here were shocking. Sheets although fresh were covered in stains. The quilts had burn marks in them. Curtains in one room did not fit the windows or door. In the other the door was painted on the inside but would allow vision from the outside. The matress in one room left a lot...

Queen room booked but ended up with a double room. I like a firm bed, but the bed was about the same as sleeping on the carpet and was even covered in heavy duty plastic. The leaking tap in the toilet was obviously known about since the water was turned off at the wall with a bucket underneath. The steps...

Don't be too rough on this place for $20 a head you get what you pay for. Rooms are shabby peeling paint etc. Beds vary in comfort. I had a comfortable sleep on a single, but friends double bed was solid hard. If you're that fussy take your own blanket. I did and slept on top of bed. Shower pressure...

If you're looking for a really affordable place to stay that also offers a pillow that smells of other someone else's hair, a bathroom sink that is hanging onto the wall by a thread, a very suspicious pool of fluid in the corner of the shower and a mattress that all but guarantees less than one hours sleep per night...

This is a very budget motel so you get what you pay for. Its old and run down. Probably would say grotty. However it had a working tv, jug and tea and coffee. There is good pressure in the shower and nice and hot - at lease for a while. Beds are old but probably the biggest negative for me...

This place needs to be demolished. We stayed 3 nights and nearly walked out during the first. Fortunately (or is that unfortunately) my wife got a good nights sleep. Budget is an overstatement. The basics of 21st century accommodation is sadly lacking with relation to the unit's walls, chattels etc. Water mark below toilet cistern running down wall, rusty water...
