Very good location in the middle of town. Novotel has valet parking service. Friendly service at reception. Comfortable and quiet superior room, nice decor and practical bathroom. Nice view to the river. We had dinner at hotels restaurant. Super friendly and easy going service! We enjoyed also breakfast, very good.
This hotel has a good location in Hamilton Central near many restaurants The room is nice and well designed, the bathroom is amazing The mattress is very comfortable The only "bad" point is the parking. You have few spaces available down the hotel (always full) and the parking is $32
Hamilton isn’t blessed with the unique, design-centric boutique hotels of other cities, but Novotel is a decent option for those wanting a no-fuss night in the center of town. Check in was a bit slow. Breakfast fees were a bit high. The view wasn’t good from the second floor. The art in the room was downright awful. But almost everything else was decent. Comfortable bed. Fantastic bathroom. Quiet. Good Wifi and entertainment (although my laptop wouldn’t plug into the tiny power grommet). Plenty of space. Best location you’d find.
I loved this hotel. Staff was friendly and rooms were clean. Bathroom was clean and there was plenty of towels. We had dinner at their restaurant and the waiter was fantastic. I have restricted diet and they were amazing in meeting my dietary requirements. Would stay there again. Thank you for an amazing time 😊
Spacious room, spotlessly clean and the staff were friendly. Some of the common areas were a little tired but overall was a lovely stay. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice and valet parking made life easy.
Quite loud with the casino next door. Slept with ear plugs. Platinum member did not receive a room upgrade (there were rooms available). Paid parking not included. No complementary coffee for breakfast which many places do for platinum guest. Room was satisfactory. Breakfast buffet might have been good if I had of been able to get a table.
Stayed here for four nights in November 2022. Great location in the very centre of Hamilton. Hotel seemed in need of a refurb, some areas of the hotel were dated and tired. Room size good with a comfortable king size bed. Limited and expensive parking. Staff not very customer focused. Hamilton, like most of New Zealand are very short of experienced customer facing staff. More in house training needed.
We recently stayed 3 nights at the Novotel and found it to be very comfortable. The bathroom was well designed with a great shower and lots of storage. The bed was comfortable as was the sitting area. Breakfast was good although a bit busy with a tour group staying. The valet parking was very convenient and efficient. Good location for walking along the river but the view from our room was not the greatest. This hotel was a pleasant surprise for a city/business hotel.
Clean room. Nice shower. Good breakfast selection but nothing remarkable. Limited teas and coffees in room. A decaf and herbal option would have been good. No eco option for servicing the room. No instructions for television. A tv guide/listings would have been appreciated. A liner in one of the bins would have been good, for containing teabags etc. It was good to have a bin for recycling. The parking area in front of hotel was cramped. Difficult to negotiate when being dropped off.
When we turned up to the Novotel we had paid for valet parking no one was there to great us we waiting a couple minutes still no one so we blocked the area as there was no where to park and went inside we asked about who will take our car the lady said well have you paid for this service!!! it should be in your system!!!! we told her no one is there to take our car!!!!! Really bad start. Decided to treat ourselves to a Delux Room - really small for a delux, lighting was really bad in the room, pillows were the worst, cleaning was not the best which i would expect better from a 4 star Hotel. There were brown drips on the door in bathroom and on the walls in bathroom. The shower head had white scum all over it, they didn't bother putting in new toilet rolls so left the tiniest bit on the roll not even a quarter left. We stayed 2 nights so on the second day we were expecting towels to be changed bed made, bathroom cleaned etc, by 2:40 still no cleaner we had gone out for the morning so they could do this. By the time they turned up 2:50 we just asked for a change of towels and more toilet paper and also milk. Didn't get the milk had to go back and ask for toilet paper as they didn't give it to us. Staff we not a very happy bunch at all. For the $728.60 we paid for 2 nights will not be returning. I expected more for that amount of money.…
