I prefer to book directly with hotels for accommodation so contacted the hotel directly. I thought I had booked 3 x rooms for a family wedding. The person taking the booking did repeat it back and I repeated myself clearly, 2 x dbl bed rooms & 1 x king room. Long story short they only booked 2 rooms, obvoisuly confused over the 2 x 2 double bed rooms. I phoned a week before the wedding date to see if we could do a early check in and ask about parking, I clearly stated my name and the rooms booked x 3. If this had been picked up then I couldve have tried to rectify their mistake but she confirmed the 3 rooms. Arrive later in the evening to find oly 2 rooms booked, full hotel and staff who really did not care. Lucky I was with family, but it was extremely embarrassing and frustrating! The issue is most of the staff do not speak clear english, and obvoiusly did not understand at point of booking. Not happy ruined a lovely family wedding day. Would not go back!…

Good location in the city. Parking is tight and looks dodgy which is no surprise for most Hamilton hotels located in the city . Rooms were smaller than I expected. Don’t expect a view of the city also. I had a great view of a some random building and concrete wall. Rooms are clean though and bed is comfortable.

The Hotel is old dirty run down and no attention to an details, Please don't stay there go to the Ibis at minimum not here.Paint and new doors are not that expensive and could have made the world of first appearance difference. Of course you will also require some Staff that want to be there.

For $300+ a night expected more than windows that looked out at concrete wall (no sky), scratchy lines, dated and worn decor, no desk, limited TV, terrible paid parking. Ramada should be ashamed. I will most likely never stay at a Ramada again.

The superior queen room was that small that you couldn’t comfortably fit two people and two large suitcases in the room. Even though it’s a small thing, for the price paid there was no shampoo or conditioner provided.

Great staff, great food, a beautifully decorated older building in the heart of Hamilton. The restaurant has a sidewalk cafe ambiance that makes a great spot to eat and people/traffic watch would stay there again

A lot of money has been spent on this hotel, but they must have run out before it was finished. The rooms are technically well appointed but very small 18 sq metres if you are lucky. Room 207 was on the Main Street with old windows and no double glazing so the local yobs and their noisy cars keep you awake. No proper wine glasses. Trying charge drinks to your room is an exercise in frustration. Th cabinet smoked salmon bagel was fridge cold and thus like an ice block. Returned. Parking is a lottery even if you pay for it. Not recommended

What an amazing hotels. In the centre of town- walking distance to the mall, restaurants and opposite the casino and Waikato river. The hostel has such a nice feel to the place being a historic building and the layout of the reception and the restaurant is excellent. We has an excellent stay.

The room I stay doesn’t have a dining table. I asked the staff to put a dining table in the room. I been told they can’t put a dining table in the room for the safety reasons. What a strange answer. My opinion is to upgrade room if I need a dinning table in the room. I never expected a 4 star hotel room without a dinning table.

We would definitely stay at the Ramada again. Close proximity to all bars and restaurants in the central city. Rooms were small but very comfortable. Lovely restaurant downstairs. Our breakfast was amazing.
