Tiny room and shared bathroom. The common rooms were little used. The kitchen was useful for long-term residents. I had breakfast at a very friendly coffee shop-Poppies-that makes great breakfasts and lunches. good coffee too at early hours.

Everyone was friendly but it wasn't the newest feeling hostel I've ever stayed in. Not a fan of the shower/toilet situation. Hate it when there's a hand towel to use instead of paper towels or a hand dryer....very unhygienic. Free parking on the street right out front which was a bonus. I normally sleep with 2 pillows so one really...

I stayed for 4 nights in a single room. Firstly 4 nights is too long in Napier as there isnt a huge amount to do and unfortunately on this occasion the weather was terrible. YHA provided little shelter from the weather as the whole place was freezing cold!! Communal areas were always empty, presumably because they were too cold to...

The hostel could be a really nice place to stay with a little bit of moderne touches. The kitchen and the room were clean. Bathrooms weren't nice. The managers are rude and agressive. The first night, we were two people talking to each other quite and with respect of all people in the house. The managers 'flat' is right next...

As a YHA member I chose to stay here for a couple of nights. I was quite surprised that I was given 100mb of data per day - not a great amount. Plus it would only work in the lounge - the signal wasn't strong enough to reach my room. The location is a short walk to be city centre...

Stayed there for 3 month in total. The longer you stay the better it gets. Me and my mate got a two bed room for a very low weekly rate. The bathrooms and kitchen are very clean. The maze of small rooms and hallways in the old building make it a very comfortable place to be and you really do...

I stayed here for a night. It is a walking distance from the city center. The place was clean and the rooms were OK. The staff were friendly but they were not there when I arrived (at 4pm) and had to wait sometime for a person to show up.

Really nice hostel, in town and on the beach. The kitchen is great. Room on the ground floor is s bit dark, plus you have to wait until courtyard is cleared at night before it's quiet. And all the bathrooms are upstairs. Otherwise, all good. Nice place to relax

Nice spot opposite the sea. Great people and nice and clean. Beds are great. We were met at the desk by reception person with smile. He was always helpful. The room was spotless. Great place to stay once again, we have stayed here many times over the years and really enjoyed it.

Marcus on reception was really welcoming and helpful, its a 5 minute walk into the main part of the town. The showers were adequate, enough bathrooms, bed comfy but room was very hot and stuffy with no fan which made sleeping very difficult on a hot night. Kitchen was large and well organised. Free wifi
