Up on the hill in Napier so you are promised great views. Note you are just above the container port so look out not down! Rooms are lovely, breakfast very nice and the hosts offer to take you to town/restaurants and then can back. There is parking but it's a tiny little street. Top level is best.

Hello Thanks so much for writing the review. Glad you enjoyed your stay here at the Landing, and enjoyed the spectacular view. Thompson Road is a narrow road, but as we are at the end of the cul-de-sac there is no passing traffic, and we have secure garage parking for all guest cars. Hope you enjoyed the rest of your...

We wished we could have stayed more than 2 nights! Jill and Alan were incredibly hospitable and helpful. Their recommendations were perfect for meals and they will even drop you off at dinner if you don't feel like driving. Downtown Napier is only a few min drive and the view from the Landing is worth being up on the hill!...

hello folks Thanks very much for the review. Glad to hear you enjoyed your time here at the Landing, Napier - and we knew that the golf at Cape Kidnappers was a highlight. Gluten free options for breakfast are no problem -and lots of choice too for dining options closeby. Thanks for showing me the sketch from the top floor...

We loved The Landing. It is an ultra modern house on Bluff Hill with a view over the bay. Our large front room was spacious, light, and with careful attention to every detail. Jill and Allan are brilliant hosts - friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We followed all their advice and had a brilliant time - wine-tasting, tractor-trailing to Cape Kidnappers...

Hello Pegotty Thank you for the review. It was lovely to meet you both -and that you were able to stay on for an extra night. It is always nice for us when guests appreciate the house, and relax and make the most of it -especially with the fine sunny weather we were enjoying. Glad you enjoyed all the activities...

Jill came out to greet us on our arrival and made us feel relaxed and comfortable. We had a beautiful room with a view of the harbour and it was all a treat. The breakfast was first class with lovely fresh fruit, delicious bread and great coffee. We enjoyed the whole experience immensely.

Hello folks Thanks very much for the review. We are glad you found it relaxing - both here at the house, and visiting Hawkes Bay. You don't have to go far to visit the Art Deco centre of town, the wineries -the beautiful countryside -and of course all those orchards make it easy for us to serve a selection of...

The Landing is at the end of a narrow street at the top of Bluff Hill, with incredible views of the harbor. The house is very modern, with a huge amount of glass that lets one feel a part of the view. Jill and Allan are most accommodating hosts, and a great deal of fun. Jill's breakfasts are outstanding with...

Hello folks Thanks so much for your kind review. We are glad you enjoyed your time here at the Landing. You were here on one of the hottest days of the summer -and I am sorry I didn't explain that there is a portable air-conditioning unit for the Studio. It doesn't often get so humid here - and I should...

Garden view was our chosen suite. Because the weather was very warm for our 2 day visit ( February 27-Mar 1)we appreciated being on the lower floor away from the setting sun. The suite was comfortable and as an added bonus we had the use of a shady patio. When we arrived Jill worked her magic and made a last...

Jill and Allan will take care of you, BUT, they are selling the place, so unsure who/what will replace them. Being on the hill, it is walk to the center, but Jill is ready to drop you off within a short distance of the center. The other disadvantage is the absence of A/C in the bedrooms. Jill is very accommodating...

Hello folks Thanks very much for your review. Being here over Art Deco weekend meant you saw Napier at one of it's busiest times -but lots of fun with all the vintage cars, planes, people in deco costume, and activities all around town. If you can manage to get the Bayview Suite in this 3-room B&B, you are in for a treat. It is large, spotlessly clean and what isn't glass is nicely appointed. You are on Napier's highest hill overlooking the bay about 500 metres away. The hostess will give you your breakfast of choice and help you every way she can...
