We have a good experience in Napier at Quest hotel. Good rooms with full kitchen and good bath. Hotel is two blocks from stores, restaurants and supermarket (Countdown). Nice staff on reception. Reserve parking space in advance, limited spaces.

We were due to stay just one night but got stuck in Napier when Cyclone Gabrielle struck. The staff could not have been more helpful We woke on the morning we were due to depart and the power went out. The manager tried to help us find an alternative route out of town, but when we couldn't he agreed that we can stay in our room. It was clean and very well presented, if we had power (not the hotels fault) we could have cooked a meal very comfotably in the excellent kitchenette in our room. The bathroom was spacious. With no power the staff provided torches and extra sanitiser. They stayed on site and available 24 hours a day and were a constant source of information and support.

Staff were super friendly and checkin/out was easy. The location is good with a countdown in walking distance and many options for food nearby. The carpark is tiny but available. The room was not huge but not small, and had everything you need including a table/chairs, tv, comfortable bed and bathroom.

Another Quest where they've converted an existing building. This makes for eccentric room layouts but it's like most other Quests you've stayed at. Don't take a room on the northern side of the building as there is a gym or some such that will wake you at 6am with loud music, If you're not on the northern side, you can sleep a little longer.

Lovely apartment, great facilities, the washer and dryer a godsend after being on the road for 10 days! lovely helpful reception people. great location, parking is payable between certain times at the side of the property.

Great first impressions, front desk staff excellent. Very friendly & helpful. The accommodation itself was exceptionally clean & well equipped. The bathroom was spacious. Very comfy bed too. All in all a great place to stay. Would definitely return.

I stayed in a lovely studio room. Perfect for short or even longer term stays as has well appointed kitchenette for self catering. Lots of options for eating out as very close to CBD cafes and restaurants with an excellent Thai restaurant directly opposite. Concierge is friendly and helpful and rooms are serviced daily.

Great apartment style rooms in the city centre, we parked and walked everywhere too easy - clean room & comfy bed - nice fella at reception. We also liked that they have a free laundry as my parter spilled wine on her pants and we could wash them before going out for dinner.

We have stayed at many different hotels in Napier but the Quest is our favourite, it is located in the city so close walk everywhere. The rooms are good size and have a small kitchen - my wife likes to cook breakfast. Also, it is always very clean and this is most important to us. The Quest does not have a pool but you can use the gym next door and it has a coffee machine in the room.
