Beautiful old lodge with loads of history and character. Rooms have been refurbished, in keeping with age of lodge, but lovely modern bathrooms. Staff could not have been more helpful. Especially Jeff the manager. Grounds and gardens with trees over 100 years old. We will come back here again. Very handy to cycle trails.

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful lodge. Stunning old building, beautiful gardens, friendly genuine staff that go above and beyond for you. Our room was clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed sitting out on the balcony in the sunshine looking over the gardens sharing a bottle of wine and a Devine lunch from their...

This was literally the last room we could book in the whole area and we so lucked out - i don't mind sharing a bed with my mother in those sorts of surroundings! we also had a lovely email sending us on our way and a travel bag with water as we left. Wish we could have stayed longer. My...

Very nice old but well maintained house with unique rooms with lots of character. Good comfortable beds and clean rooms. Friendly and bit quirky staff made for an enjoyable stay. Had a lovely dinner at the restaurant, though it was practically empty we had a superb meal, in particular the pork was magnificent. Food was well priced but found the...

Thanks so much for your review. We have recently upgraded our breakfast menu to include delicious cooked items such as Orange Blossom Ricotta Pancakes. We are spoiled for choice being in the Gimblett Gravels wine region.

My husband and I got married at Ormlie in December 2015 and everything was perfect. From the service & help we received with planning and organising leading up to the day, to everything on the day. The canapés and dinner were so delicious and cooked perfectly!!! The day could not have run any better, the team at Ormlie Lodge had...

we had a wonderful overnight stay at the Ormlie lodge but wish it could have been longer. Greeted warmly by the owner who was happy to share his knowledge of this beautifully restored old home. We enjoyed a busy day in Napier and declined dinner but our hosts and staff tempted us with a delicious platter and wine served on...

The accommodation was way better than we expected. We where greeted by Jeff the Manager, who booked us in and showed us to our room (which was awesome), there was a balcony that over looked the garden and entrance way, we parked our motorcycles directly below, which gave us peace of mind that they were parked in a secure location....

This was a lovely one night stay found at short notice. The Host made us feel very welcome. The house is full of history and stories. We had a spacious, comfortable well appointed en suite room with balcony. There are lovely gardens to walk around and terrace to have breakfast when weather permits. We decided to have our evening meal...

This was a our second, but regretfully, last stay at the lodge. on the positive side, the homestead is elegant and the rooms tastefully furnished although very poor sound insulation means that pretty much everything is audible from adjoining or upstairs rooms if other guests are staying. Our biggest disappointment was the shambolic breakfast service which we had arranged, with...
