This is a wonderful B&B on the hill in Napier. Rayma and Philip are really welcoming and more than the extra mile...nibbles and wine, port and chocolate and then Phillip was cleaning the car windows before we left. The bed was comfortable, the breakfast magnificent ... we could not have wanted more

Rayma and Phillip were great hosts. made us feel at home and an absolutely beautiful home and setting. Breakfast and amenities were perfect. Rayma helped me recover shirts I left in a previous hotel. Very helpful in suggesting restaurants.

This is a gem, despite being at the top of a steep hill! We had the most wonderful room with a large bathroom, huge spa bath and all the toiletries you could wish for. Tea and coffee making things, sweet wine in the evening in the room, great breakfasts in a very quaint atmospheric old dining room and delightful wine...

Cobden Garden home stay is highly recommended! Philip and Raima do everything they can to make a stay really memorable with drinks and canapés on the terrace and port and chocolates waiting for you when you return from having an evening meal in delightful Napier. Phillip and Rayma are great hosts. Nothing is too much trouble and being helpful is their trademark. Tea and cake on the verandah to welcome us, followed by wine and canapés in the evening. It's a great way to get to know your hosts and fellow travellers. A well stocked fridge with a range of drinks upstairs and port in...

Let's say I was having a very bad day when I arrived at Cobden BnB but Rayma and Phillip were so lovely and really made me feel welcome. The property is stunning with a country garden feel and sea views especially from the lovely sun lounge upstairs. My room was modern, spotless and very comfortable. Breakfast was yummy. I can't...

We only had one night here but would have loved to stay longer. Rayma and Philiip were great hosts and we loved our evening of canapés and wine on the verandah, watching the birds and admiring their garden. We had a very comfortable large room with a huge bathroom/whirlpool bath and two basins. We had the use of an upstairs...

A two night stay in a rather dated but pleasant home. Very dark wall paper throughout was a little off-putting but the hosts were very welcoming and invited each of their guests to drinks each evening on their garden porch....very acceptable.

Thank you for your review. We appreciate you taking the time to write this. We are very sorry that our decorating tastes don't align with yours. Our home is an 1870's villa and we have tried to give a bit of a Victorian feel to specific parts of the house. As far as having very dark wallpaper throughout. Yes -...
