I'm writing this review still ensconced on one of the most comfortable beds that it has been my fortune to lounge on! Our view is frankly breath-taking looking over Hawkes Bay. Our hosts are attentive but not obsequious and have made us feel at home in their beautiful home. We have been entertained each night with some fine local wine...

What an amazing review. I am so glad you enjoyed the gluten free baking. I am please to say I can adapt much of my baking to gluten free and am now even able to serve hot, fresh bread that is such a delight when you have not experienced it for a while. Warm bread, butter and fresh homemade jam...

We only stayed for one night but should have stayed longer! We found the accommodation exceptionally well presented, comfortable and very welcoming.Would not hesitate to recommend, and we will stay again when we return to Napier. We did not have the Port that was put out for us in our room, in a decanter with 2 glasses, but we did enjoy the...

We look forward to you returning and hopefully you will be able to stay longer to fully enjoy all that Hawke's Bay has to offer. Cobden Homestay is a lovely old house with beautiful gardens! Fantastic hosts, and delicious breakfasts! It was particularly great having the evening drinks as it gave us an opportunity to socialise with the other guests! We would definitely recommend a visit!

Thank you so much. We are pleased you enjoyed the garden and November is a good time to see it with the roses. Presently it definitely is showing its autumn colours with the leaves of the Maple and Elms a gorgeous gold. Many are creating a thick blanket on the lawns! So glad you enjoyed meeting the other guests. We...

Raymar and Phillip were great hosts and attended to our every need. Phillip ferried us to our evening meal at Mission Estate and even cleaned the windsceen before we left! Their evening cocktails hour was a great opportunity to chat, meet other guests and discover places to go the following day. Raymar is a mine of information! Breakfasts were superb,...

Thank you so much for your kind review. We are pleased we were able to help you enjoy your stay. We also enjoy our chats with the guests in the evening and the tips they are able to give regarding the things they enjoyed in Napier and Hawke's Bay. So often out guests become the tour guides. We could only stay one night due to our schedule but were very impressed and wished we could have stayed longer. Our room was clean, comfortable, spacious and well equipped with jacuzzi, shower, TV, cd player and comfy bed etc. Rayma and Philip are very friendly and easy to get on with and we enjoyed chatting to them. Thank you for the wonderful comments and for taking the time to review us. We are sorry you did not have enough time in your schedule to spend more time staying with us and exploring Hawke's Bay. With our great climate (generally) and wide variety of activities guests find plenty to keep themselves entertained in Napier and Hawke's Bay. However...

Philip and Rayma are the hosts at this fantastic B & B. The house was beautiful and the bedroom was spacious and comfortable. The evening soiree's on the porch hosted by Peter and Rayma are a delight, but don't plan driving down to town after. Get a taxi! The breakfasts were delicious and substantial. Napier was unique with it's architecture...

Thank you for taking time to review us. It has been a busy season and I am afraid I have been tardy replying to the wonderful review you have published. The wineries in the region are certainly worth taking a tour to and we are so pleased you did enjoy the "fruits" or should that be 'juices" of the region....

My girlfriend and I were completely enamored by this B&B. As soon as we arrived, we were treated to wine, great hors d'oeuvres and even better company on the patio overlooking Phillip's and Rayma's impressive garden. Treated as good friends rather than just guests. Stayed in Napier to have a relaxed few days holiday and were not disappointed.
