Spent a single night on a tour of New Zealand. Hotel was clean and comfortable and provided a good night's rest. The hotel is well located with restaurants and activities within short walking distances, as well as being only a few minutes drive to Emerson and Tennyson Streets for walking the cool Art Deco buildings. The only minor complaint was... More

Very friendly and helpful staff, very nice and clean room. The location is also very good, right near the sea port, with fishing boats gliding in and out. The milk and Honey restaurant is a nice and convenient choice for meals.

restaurant was exceptional with friendly ,attentive staff and a good selection. For the conference the room was good. The lunches were poor with a minimal meat selection.I thought we must have had the vegetarian selection. the house bar selection was average and the decision to stop serving our group showed, to me that there was a lack of experience with... The rooms are a good size and well appointed with a small kitchenette. The location is great with a few bars and restaurants around the corner. The staff at the hotel were all berry friendly and helpful. We went down for "alfresco hour" to the bar, which was actually just a tiny room with a couple of chairs and an... More

Lovely room with it's own fireplace. Lots of character and very tasteful decor. I was impressed too by the huge bathroom with spa bath and separate shower. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating.

Nice and clean, quiet. Nice views. Was impressed with the environmentally friendly policy. Great spot. Seaside walkway across the road. Good restaurant on site or plenty others nearby to choose from. Next time I'll hire a pushbike and cycle the seaside pathway.

We stayed for two night in a lovely 1 bed apartment with balcony and sea view. Great bed & selection of pillows made for a good sleep. Right amongst all that Ahuriri has to offer. Free car park but plenty to see & do in the immediate vicinity without using your car. Great restaurants, such as Milk & Honey &... More

Room looked good but we had to evacuate the room each day from 5-8 pm because of the heat. Our room faced west and the airconditioning could not cope, even though we closed all the curtains! Luckily we only stayed two nights. Otherwise facilities were good.

Dear Annette On a hot Hawkes Bay summer day it does get warm, however we are lucky as a hotel that we can open up the ranch slider to the balcony and louvres to let air flow through the room along with the airconditioning. I do hope you enjoyed your 2 days in Hawkes Bay though and got to explore... More
