We booked into one of the beach front suites and were most impressed with the location and the quality of the unit. They let themselves down in a couple of minor instances. The dish mop looked like it had been through a very hard time and should definitely have been replaced. My wife wasn't impressed with the duvet set up...

I could not fault the hotel for the price. Good location, friendly staff, room cleanliness. The only thing missing is a Te Reo greeting from the staff and literature in the rooms. However wish it had been summer as the pool looked inviting!

irty -I think my partner caught bed bugs from this hotel. Staff - The girl on reception was rude from before I even arrived when I called to see if we could get a earlier check in and just had a very rude manner about they way she spoke to me, and I also was greeted with the same attitude...

We stayed at this place for 2 nights as part of our Grand Pacific Tours. The hotel has everything that you need. Self service laundry was reasonably priced. The place could do with a slight refurbishment in places. The bar prices were reasonable and the happy hour was most welcome. The staff were excellent. The buff dinner was good including...

The hotel rooms are a good size. The bar has happy hour with cheap drinks. I recommend the buffet breakie , lots of choices, with stunning views out to Russell. A bounus is use of a laundry and the gym. Really handy to town.

We stayed for 2 nights using 2 rooms (family with teenagers) and can't really complain about anything, if I did it would be that at times it can get a little noisy with coaches and cars but that's it. Beds were OK, shower was great, air con, clean sheets and room clean and tidy. Staff friendly. Free hot tub for...

Pros: Stunning views * Friendly staff Spacious suite split into 4 areas - bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, and dining/lounge * Nice gym Great central location Air conditioning Kitchenette (stovetop, fridge, kettle, toaster) * Spa bath * Cons: Tired, outdated exterior Hair dryer covered in something sticky Door between kitchen area and bedroom would only close 3/4 of the way, which meant...

We stayed here as a couple just the one night. Kingsgate has everything you need and caters for all types of accommodation and it's close to the Paihia Town Centre. Great facilities for teenagers. Pool is nice with Barbecue area at front, means rooms are back off the street so quietly located.
