Stayed 7 nights in a 1 bedroom suite. We were disappointed with room due to several factors; bed was extremely hard & I had to sleep on the sofa bed in order to get a decent night's rest. There was mould on curtains & on 1 pillow case (yuck). Table & chairs were dated & definitely more bach than resort... More

Definitely exceeded our expectations. We (3 adults) booked a 2 bedroom suite a few days before for a couple of days of scuba diving in Paihia. More like a short term apartment rental than a hotel room. Lots of living room space, large kitchen, laundry machine in room. Beds were comfortable. Location (right across the road from the beach) was... More

Great room, great location, friendly staff. Only thing that could improve is the fridge/freeze which didn't freeze out supplies, the dishwasher which didn't clean the dishes, and the washing machine and dryer which was very difficult to operate. These are negligible in the scheme of things though and don't really impact on your stay.

We have booked the family suite in the last minutes did not expect much from the place. We were wowed by the location it is central of Pahia and right in front of the beach! The whole place is so new and all the equipment are high quality! From laundry power to the washing machine are excellent! I enjoy staying... More

We have been there twice with 2 kids 5,6 year old.The first time we booked it was one bedroom and the second time was 2bedroom apartment. Both of the time we always had a great time. The restaurant, pub, dairy is next door. The apartment is absolutely beach front (30second across the road). So my kids go to the beach and then... More

After 2 weeks of disappointments with accommodation while travelling around the North Island of New Zealand, opening the door to our suite at the Ramada in Paihia was the most brilliant surprise: the suite was enormous with excellent kitchen, big bedrooms, private patio right beside the gorgeous infinity pool..... I could go on and on. We just loved it and... More

We stayed in an ocean view apartment and we were very disappointed. The beds were most uncomfortable very hard, with a very thin topper which offered no respite. Coupled this with an apartment which was like living in an oven, it was extremely humid and whereas at home one would turn on the air conditioning we just relied on three... More

Booked in early March for 1bdrm apartment in the so-called "5 stars hotel ". It was heavily overpriced. Not all the rooms are equipped with air-conditioning. However, the price remains the same as the room with air-conditioning. Definitely will not recommend to others who are planning to stay in Paihia and will not come back to stay in the future.... Went here in January and was offered a room at an over inflated price for a room on the second floor overlooking the water. Took a look at the room before excepting and was shown to a room which had a hideous smell of damp ! Obviously we declined and looked elsewhere . Beware if you want somewhere at a... More

This review is absolutely ridiculous....it would be like walking into a restaurant looking at the menu and prices and walking out and writing a 1 star review without even sampling the food and ambiance. You did NOT stay at Edgewater....you walked into an apartment spent less than 5 minutes in there and then walked out. For all the thousands of... More
