Our room downstairs facing a beautiful porch into the backyard was absolutely lovely; however, it was Vivien that truly made our stay in Rotorua memorable. She was so helpful in making recommendations and reservations based on your specific interests. Without her, we would have missed out on a couple beautiful scenic drives and would not have had the courage to...

My wife and I deliberately returned to the Redwoods because we enjoyed it so much last time. This can be a bad idea, but in this case we weren't disappointed at all. It's on the edge of town, with beautiful woods a short distance away, where you can walk. There's a new min-mall down by the main road, where you...

This B&B was just wonderful. We had the room with a king bed and she brought in a mattress for the floor. All very comfortable. Wish we could have enjoyed the porch. Breakfast was fabulous and we loved talking with the other guests and our wonderful hostess. She also had some discounts for the attractions we were interested in. The...

We had a two night at The Redwoods and Vivien was a superb hostess. She is so knowledgeable about Rotorua and the area that our breakfast (which was delicious) became a tourist information session. Unfortunately it was quite wet when we were there but we visited Wai-o-Tapu and thoroughly enjoyed doing the 3km walk. Vivien booked for us to go...

I would highly recommend B&B @ The Redwoods. We had a nice one-night stay. The room and bathroom were cosy and well equipped. The place is very quiet and we were happy to find an honesty-bar in the fridge. But the highlight is definitely Vivien, our host. She's warm and friendly and so attentive. We almost felt like family there....

It was a shame that it rained fairly solidly while we were here, and this and other circumstances conspired to prevent us from visiting the nearby redwood forest as we'd planned and from taking full advantage of the outside seating area, but we found the accommodation at The Redwoods B&B clean, comfortable and reasonably spacious. There was a convenient communal...

Vivienne is so welcoming and eager to ensure our stay was the best it could be. She met us on the threshold with a smile, a welcome cup of tea and hunk of cake. Delicious. She asked about our aims for our stay in the area and made suggestions for places to visit.. We had a great time in the...

It's my second stay with Vivienne and she has kept up with the magic, seemingly effortlessly, even after all these years. The breakfasts are still works of art and love, with fresh blueberries that Vivienne handpicked herself. Being able to stroll over to the redwoods from Vivienne's doorsteps and just disappear into the forest is one of those wonder moments...

What a fantastic experience! We have stayed in many B and Bs in many countries and this is absolutely one of the best. Comfort of the room, available common space, and location were outstanding. Vivien is such a welcoming and knowledgeable hostess. She is truly a gem! We especially appreciated her expertise in recommending hiking and other outdoor activities. Another...

Yes, Vivienne welcomed us at the table with 4 coconut meringues, a smile, brochures, a listening ear. In short, a very warm welcome. She was attentive to our needs and questions, booked restaurants and shows, and shared her extensive knowledge of Rotorua. If you tell her what you have time for, she will direct you to the right activity or...
