Seriously, my experience staying with Mick and Teresa made me want to open my own B&B one day. The couple not only enjoy having visitors, but also LOVE having guests around, and hospitality is obviously just a part of their daily life. It didn’t bother us much that we stayed at the Mokoia Downs Estate during cold and rainy winter...

Have to say this is the best b&b you can find. The host is very helpful and make you feel right at home. As other reviews the breakfast is so good left us have not much room for lunch everyday. My 3 years old daughter had a wonderful time with the animals. And I have to say Teresa is so...

Rotorua was our final destination and our stay with Mokoia Downs estate B &B was indeed the most unforgettable experience. Our daughters had a wonderful time feeding the farm animals as well as doing the treasure hunt which was arranged within the 5 1/2 acre property. They also chilled out eating popcorn and watching a movie at the home theatre....

My husband and I stayed in the garden room for two nights in May, and we were truly impressed with Mick and Teresa's genuine hospitality, fantastic breakfast (!!!), comfortable rooms, and friendly pet animals. I wasn't sure what to expect reading the reviews, as the place sounded just too good to be true - but my experience really exceeded expectations....

Mick an Therese really care. You immediately feel at home when you come to Mokoia Downs. Mick and Therese really take care and make you feel at home. This is a wonderful place which is a couple of kilometers outside Rotorua so you have to drive in order to get to Rotorua or any other toristic place. On the other...

This was definitely one of the best accommodation choices we made for our South Island trip. Mick and Teresa put everything into making our stay the very best experience. They work so hard and there is a lot to keep on top of and they do and obviously enjoy running their business. Teresa recommended the Hamurana Springs walk which was...

Watching our children hunt for treasure, feed sheep and ducks, and collect farm fresh eggs for breakfast were among the highlights of our stay at Mokoia Downs B&B. Its winding, tree-lined driveway led us to this picturesque hidden gem in Rotorua where we experienced a clean and restful family friendly stay in an idyllic environment complete with small pond, orchard,...

We enjoyed our stay at Mokoia Downs mid February. We had the pleasure of staying in the Garden Room, which was great. A real treat is breakfast at Mick and Teresa (and their nephew Dan). All wonderful homemade bread, jams, cereal and more. Really great, the bar and the nice company at the evening drinks. Loved the people and the...

After a long day of traveling we got a heart warming welcome. The next day (and all days we stayed) we got a luxurious breakfast with a lot of home made food. The kids loved the animals, treasurehunt, play room and cinema. It was sometimes hard to leave and get them to see the beautifull surroundings. Because of the kids...

My wife, 18 month old son and I stayed 4 nights at Mokoia Downs in February 2015 and had an absolutely fantastic stay. The place has a great playroom for kids, a cinema lounge, pool and a beautiful garden with animals such as donkeys, sheep, guinea pigs, ducks and chickens. The owner Mick and Teresa made us feel at home...
