Day number 5, arrived same time as 2 bus loads so had to wait some time, not their fault.Opened the door in my room to discover the toilet had not been flushed and the room smelt.Beds were ok but the place looked a bit tired.Very handie to the city and Eat street. Rated number 4 on our 5 day road...

I was without Wifi connection for my entire stay. Staff were unwilling or unable to solve the problem. For me having wifi connection is high priority as I need to receive and answer emails. So, I will not book again in the Ibis Rotorua.

We stayed here for the weekend and we were pleasantly surprised. It was a comfortable room with good beds and in the configuration we had asked for. You always read the the negative reviews about it being a tour hotel. If you are under your own steam it is easy to avoid the groups and it was fine for what...

Small but comfortable room with basic hotel services, utilitarian lobby and public areas, obviously a tour group hotel. Elevators were down for most of the day when we booked in which was a nuisance but it happens. The bigger annoyance was more the one elevator that did get put back into service the next day trapped my wife and child...

We stayed two nights at Ibis Rotorua in April 2017. The poor wi fi issues drove us mad and we spent a lot of time at Maccas. We also had trouble with the tv in our room and had a repair man tend to it but it couldn't be fixed. We found lots of areas around the hotel very grotty...

Both elevators were faulty and out of action for many hours during the weekend. The dining area is totally inadequate in terms of space to cater for the absolute hoards of Asian tourists that pack into this hotel. People breakfasting sitting on the carpet and others having to eat breakfast while standing. If an operation is unable to provide a...

This is obviously a B&B Hotel set up for coach parties. The entire ground floor is a Dining Room resembling a factory canteen full of Formica topped tables and plastic chairs with only 2 tiny upholstered sofas near the Reception Desk in the corner of the room. The poorly stocked Bar next to it was hardly ever open. The Servery...

This is an average place to stay in an ideal location. It's an easy walk to the lake, to shops, restaurants and there was a Sunday market just across the road. The room was fine, although the fridge seemed to leak water and we had to ask for coffee sachets, more tea and more milk at various times.

I like Ibis hotels. They are no frills, but always clean, friendly and comfortable. The Rotorua hotel has a great location. Right now they are doing a lot of restoration work, so the lobby is torn up. It should be nice once the renovation is done. Only one elevator worked, so getting on an elevator took some time. This hotel...
