A good motel with large rooms, where we had abosultely no problem. We stayed here as a base to visit the Waiotapu volcanic park and the other attractions of Rotorua as Te Puia. The rooms are a little bit underfurnished but the cost is definitely tempting.

Located in a quiet part of Rotorua, 5 mins from Polynesian spa. Motel was super clean, beds where very comfortable and clean. Room was spacious with a kitchen area well equipped to cook a basic meal on a stove. Outdoor eating area a plus, loved the fairy lights!! Would def recommend this place as very clean and great value for money!

We booked the motel from Australia and received prompt answers to queries about availability and cost of extra beds. The owners continued to happily provide information about venues, buses and shopping. They booked our onward journey and delivered us in good time to the bus stop on departure day. Our unit consisted of two good-sized bedrooms with very comfortable beds, a well equipped kitchenette and a huge, clean bathroom with spa bath. Highly recommended.

Booked into the luxury studio which is far from luxurious, tired decor, broken fittings. Very uncomfortable beds! Single bed was mattress on top of a couch. Booked & paid for seven nights but left after 5. Within this se 5days not once did we have the bath or toilet cleaned. Lights very dim had removed bulbs and covered with cardboard. See pictures. I informed owners why we were checking out early and they said "oh so it's our fault" omg seriously! Instantly told you not getting refund... I worried about the money. Clearly this owner is more interested in money not his visitors. Will never stay here EVER again.

Booked for 2 nights and was disappointed to find infestation of ants behind kids beds on 2nd night, too late to complain, so highly suggest you do not take a room on ground floor!

Bathroom fixtures were old and worn, had to buy basics, like handsoap ourselves. White towels provided were well used and had yellow stains on them.

Kitchen coffee mugs and plates still had dirt marks. Had to switch on the fridge on arrival so ended up chucking food in our Esky since it took 12 hours to get going before we could put anything in it.

Wifi didnt register on our ipad and reception was unmanned after 7pm, not very helpful.

Overall very disappointed and rather astonished at reviews already listed. They have a tripadvisor plaque in reception, how they scored that is a wonder to me.

It is cheap though, so I guess you get what you pay for. It certainly was not good value in my opinion compared to other motels visited in the same price range.

The room was filthy. Part of the ceiling was covered in fungus and the bed spread was stained on all sides.
The spa - which was one of the reasons we opted for the place - was not functional. Our attempts of resolving the problems at first, weren't successful since they locked up the reception and wouldn't answer the given "emergency" number. When the problems were reported to the staff the following morning, they weren't cooperative at all and in fact pretty much dared us to write this review!

Yes, it is indeed disgusting, your behaviour I mean. When check in, everything is ok..good. After spending a night, everything is Not ok and demanded a refund. This guest even threaten to write condemned review when they did not get a single cents on refund. Called at 11pm questioning why the Spa is not working (when its clearly stated in the guest guide that Spa will be turned off after 10pm inorder not to disturb other guests). If during check in, the guest is not happy with the room, we will grant an immediate cancellation with full refund. Not after staying a night and demanded a free stay next morning. Never the less, we still thank you for staying with us and allow us to experience how ridiculous one could turn out to be.

We stayed here and we booked on a booking site and the only reason we didn’t leave was because we had prepaid. The man booking us in was rude and didn’t even look at us just handed the key. The room was stinking and there were bugs inside because the windows were all open. The room was dated and the bathroom looked like it had a botched job done trying to make it look better. The shower curtain was mouldy too. This room wasn’t cheap either

Really spacious comfortable room with good amenities. The room was clean and the hotel was quite pleasant. I would definitely recommend staying here. Only one tiny thing was that the lovely spa bath in the room doesnt work from 10pm to 7am (for noise control I think) ..it would have been nice to have a late spa and time should be extended a bit.

Came here for new years eve etc. First impressions are a beautiful looking place on the outside, well kept. At night it is stunning also and well lit. Really enjoyed the atmosphere. We were upstairs in a studio unit. It was summer and 26 degrees when we walked in, the room was stinking hot. We went looking for the air conditioning and couldn't find it anywhere.. We then eventually saw a fan in the cupboard. The fan didn't work properly, only 1 setting. I asked reception for another and the owner obliged and was extremely helpful. I must say the owner and the staff are all lovely, can't fault them at all. For our personal liking, we found the bed too hard and so did our friends who were in the room next door. We found the rooms lacked ambiance- our room had no art but had some stickers on a wall. Tacky rather than nice. Our friends next door had both the stickers but also had a lovely piece of art. Not a lot needs to be spent but just something would be nice in each room. For us, we also weren't a fan of having a glass main door that didn't have a net curtain- instead for any privacy you had to have the curtain shut which made the room darker. Cleanliness wasn't an issue, the place was spick and span. A lot of it possibly is our taste but I think if a few wee tweaks were made everyone would enjoy the place a lot more. One final thing- beware sleeping with the windows open at night as it does get noisy. The boy racers were out in force. However I think this hotel probably gets less noise than any of them on the main street.
