Great views of the lake, there is a hot tub & sauna for guests use, also kayaks for use (apparently a tennis court not that we saw that) Rooms have everything you need but bathroom felt a bit plasticky but functional Great breakfast- buffet selection & bacon, scrambled egg or pancakes cooked to order Into town in taxi cost $15...

Well this rates as one of our two favourite places to stay (the other being in Majorca, should you wish to know!). We had a lodge room (8), although not in the main lodge it still had a great view of the lake, with our own sitting area. Bedroom had everything we needed - well laid out and we loved...

My husband planned our wonderful honeymoon and chose the Koura Lodge based on all of the excellent reviews. Don't get me wrong - likely the best views and very well appointed property in Rotorua. Mike and Becky, our hosts, were delightful and very welcoming and helpful, quick to recommend excursions, offered to make bookings, and Mike makes a mean poached...

My husband and I stayed at Koura lodge for 4 nights and found it very relaxing and peaceful. Beautiful surroundings where the well-maintained rooms face the lake. Warm and friendly service from our hosts who cook a home-made breakfast for you everyday. Another highlight is the resident dog who will happily come up to you for cuddles :))

My husband and I stayed in a lakeview premium room for three nights and we very much enjoyed the peaceful, warm and beautiful scenery that this lodge had to offer. The staff was efficient and friendly. Their dog Lenny was just adorable. Each room had a designated parking lot free of charge. The room was always kept clean. Breakfast was...

Friendly welcoming hosts with beautiful views across the lake, tea and cake served on arrival, knwlable and informative on local attractions and offered lots of alternatives. Accommodation of a high standard with a large choice and freshly cooked breakfast.

We paid for three nights here and the views were amazing. Lovely dog, breakfast was really nice and the hosts were warm and welcoming. Very helpful with any places to go and we really enjoyed Rotorua - luge, Atticus Finch restaurant and Roastery were great places to visit. Only downside was the price was much more than other places we...

Does not hold up to its exclusive waterside retreat promise. Our wooden room was dingy with old fashioned, cheap furnishings, rather grubby looking fabrics and bedclothes plus, my personal horror, sweaty smelling pillows. The unsuitable grimy looking tapestry-style rug in front of the sink in the minute corridor bathroom (plastic shower cubicle) between the bedroom and sitting room/child's room (bed...

To VBI - We remember your visit well and your attitude toward us and the property on arrival. For the benefit of the reader we have responded to your misleading review in some detail: Property: Koura Lodge is the ONLY genuine lawn to lake property on Lake Rotorua. Your room was no less than 30 feet from the lake edge....

We had two nights being looked after by Gina and David who could not have been more helpful from the moment we arrived to when we left They have created a very special place with stunning views, a modern homely feel and a touch of real quality in the craftsmanship that has gone into building it. Breakfast was good and...

We loved our stay at Koura Lodge. We took the kayak out on the lake, enjoyed the hot tub and lounged in the chaise lawn chairs while stargazing. The room was very comfortable and the hosts were most helpful. The Grilled Banana French Toast for breakfast was outstanding and the best breakfast I had our whole trip!
