A warm friendly welcome when we checked into the Great Lake Holiday Park. Our powered caravan site was large, shaded with onsite fresh water. We were handy to the facilities. The well appointed campers kitchen was very clean and tidy. The showers and toilet facilites were modern, clean and tidy. The showers had good water pressure with ample hot water...

1 bed cabin with 2 single beds and sofa bed, the cabin was love and clean. Main double bedding included in cost extra 5 dollars for bedding for other beds per night if required. More than enough bowls and cups when you have a few in room, plenty of hot water. Lovely place. We were with some people that were...

Taupo (Acacia Park) had good ablution and kitchen facilities apart from basic equipment like the kitchen boiling water heater being broken and cloudy drinking water from the underground tank. Overall the place looks run down with campsite surfaces unmaintained for years, playground equipment near to failure (swings) and trampolines without the usual standard of safety protection or rules for usage...

Thank you for mentioning our good ablution and kitchen facilities. Your other comments are rather surprising as highlighted by other recent reviews from many guests who enjoyed their stay with us immensely and are recommending us to others.

We booked this last minute. Nice little campsite, facilities were fine. Could see a little bit of the lake from our campervan! As it's slightly out of town though there wasn't a lot in walking distance which is fine if like us you're happy to drive the short distance into town for dinner.

We arrived here , while touring N.Z. in a motorhome ,without booking and hoped we could get in, as it had good reviews. It certainly deserves the good reviews. The lovely South African owners, William and Colleen, were so friendly and helpful. William never seems to stop working to improve the site! The site has some lovely mature trees for...

Great spot. We were in a tent and had a large site under beautiful big trees. Bathrooms and kitchen very clean. BBQs for use and showers included in cost. Friendly staff that do their job well without being nosy. Only negatives were toilet paper the first night we stayed didn't roll off dispenser easily so bits ended up all over...

We booked this last minute and the owner was exceptionally helpful. The site is very pleasant. Could do with a little modernising in areas and the road that goes passed the site can be noisy at night. The pitches further back in the site seemed to be more sheltered from the road noise. Great facilities for kids and it's not...

Stayed here for a couple of days in campervan in early January 2017. Site was clean, tidy and while very full it was not too noisy. Nice shady area to park in and very clean facilities. Out of town just far enough to be away from the hustle but not too far to go into town. Would definitely stay again....

Thank you for your kind review from your campervan stay with us. We appreciate your comments on the cleanliness and tidiness of our park. Many of our guests comment on our nearness to town while enjoying our rural setting. We did have an issue with the taps in our main kitchen and these will be replaced shortly.

Stayed in the stand alone one bedroom unit. Very neat and clean and tidy. The campground itself was not noisy or too full. It felt very relaxed. Great access to Acacia Bay and surrounds. Nice to stay out of the main town center. Very happy. would recommend and stay again!

Stayed from Dec 21st for 6 nights. Unit very spacious and well-equipped. Park was clean and tidy. Safe for kids. Bit surprised that unit wasn't serviced at all. Had to ask at the office for fresh towels after day 3 or 4. We certainly weren't expecting 5 star service but a toilet clean and fresh towels every 2 or 3...
