Charming lovely spot with river running to huka falls behind the rooms. The staff was beyond wonderful. They could not do enough for us. They also have spots for private romantic dinners which we did. We have traveled extensively and have to say this is one of those very special places. Anything I can say won't do it justice. If...

Huka Lodge is everything you have read about. The facilities are superb, the staff attentive and the grounds are spectacular. From the General Manager to be bellman, this lodge is focused on attention to detail. Wow.

We had stayed before so it was interesting to see if the crown had slipped. It hasn't. We stayed for four nights. Truly outstanding staff, who are helpful but don't "hover". Breakfasts are first rate. In my view the wine list needs an update. Lunch time salads are first rate but the menu should vary each third or fourth day....

We stayed at Huka Lodge for a weeknd away. From the moment you enter through the gates and arrive you know you are going to have a wonderful time. The staff are all incredibly professional yet friendly and extremely accommodating. The rooms are tranquil with a lovely aspect towards the Waikato river where the ducks and bird life wander on...

This was a much anticipated trip which exceeded our expectations in every way. Excellent service by all staff and amazing menus by the very talented Paul Froggatt. We dined in a different location each of the days we were there. Romantic escape to unwind from an extremely stressful year. Book your dining spots and massage treatments well in advance as...

I knew from the content and promptness of the very first email exchange with Huka Lodge that if this was anything to go on, this was going to be an amazing experience coming up as I secured a booking for one of Huka Lodge’s special weekends, this one aptly named, “The Art of Living”. From the moment you turn into...

We ate lunch here recently to celebrate a birthday. Pros: choice of dining location, friendly and attentive service, amazing food, extensive wine and drinks list, amazing vista, unique dining experience. Cons: we struggled to think of something... anything.... but we failed. Huka Lodge obviously costs more than your average meal out but this is not an average meal! The food,...

Huka Lodge quite rightly deserves it's reputation as New Zealand's finest luxury lodge, enjoyed by the rich & famous as well as royalty. Throughout the winter they run weekends which may have a celebrity chef, opportunity to drive the range of Aston Martin cars, enjoy rare champagne, experience new exotic fragrances etc - check out their website. We enjoyed a...
