We only stayed for 1 night but our room was lovely! It had everything we needed and more. The only downside was that we were on the end of the row so people would walk past our place first to get to there's. There were only a couple of people that were loud and we could hear then in the... More

As a teenager, my wife used to stay at Oasis with her family and I holidayed there with them back in the 70's. We also stayed at Millennium Manuel's next door (same owners) and honeymooned at Manuel's in '74. Back in NZ for a holiday this year, we decided to stay at Oasis again and really enjoyed the lake front... More

Stayed here for one night on our way to Wellington. Staff very friendly although had to push them for a cheaper room rate than what was on the booking sites. We cold called especially to get a cheaper rate. Rooms tired & old. Lovely lake view which was relaxing. A bonus for this accommodation is that guests can use the... More

Great view but that was it. Worn out, outdated, small (2 bedroom lake view unit), dirty and dusty, poorly maintained. No facility for transporting luggage from car park. Main bed was small, worn and uncomfortable. Single beds suitable for children only.

We stayed in a two bedroom apartment for two nights in August. The check in process was quick and we were shown to our room by the friendly receptionist. The apartment was a good size with a kitchenette allowing us to store food and make snacks in. The beds were comfortable however the two single beds were quite small, definitely... More

I'll start on a positive...excellent views. Sadly this place needs to be bulldozed, it's old and dated. The walls are paper thin so you can hear everything in the next room. Air conditioning ( that's what it says), a small heat pump which may have well not been there as it was useless. Electri blankets on single beds were on... More

This place has the most awesome views if you get a lakeside room. There is an equipped small kitchen so bring your groceries because the restaurant next door is overpriced and even a very basic continental breakfast delivered will set you back $24.90!!!! The windows are possibly not double glazed so expect it to be cold in winter and we... More

Great room. Very clean and tidy. Had everything we needed. The only thing was that it was blowing a gale and raining and the windows banged about but that is out of the Motels control really. We would definitely stay again with the kids.

We stayed in the Lockwood house, which we didn't realise at booking is a separate house next to the hotel. The position right on the lakefront is fantastic with amazing views of the mountains. You do feel quite separate from the hotel but we were only there for one night so not an issue. The house had plenty of space... More
