The place is in the process of being renovated and the outside looks good. The unit we had was OK seemed clean, but a few roaches appeared though they died. not bad for winter as there were heaters, no aircon, so would be hot in summer. There is a pool, laundry facilities and play equipment for kids. The renovated units... More

Unit stank of smoke and not sure there are fresh sheets on the bed - have stayed here before and was much better - disappointing - location good to skiing and fishing but that's about it - this is my favourite part of the country but this place a not up to standard

We went in search of snow but just found a weekend's worth of rain. No worries, we were warm dry and very comfortable at the lodge. The chalet was warm and far bigger than a normal motel. The kids enjoyed the games room. While it was quiet it was also easy to find and a short walk from the village... More

Fantastic accommodation near the mighty Tongariro River and at the base of the snowfields. Fishing was excellent and the Tokaanu hot springs were a welcome relief at the end of a cold day. The venison at the Turangi Tavern was superb, and a must try for all meat lovers.

We had such a great time at Turangi. The resort is very nice and clean. The furniture are modern. I got a room with heatpump and it is very nice and warm for a whole unit. Unfortunately my brother's room don't have heatpump but they have oil heater to heat the room up (Not as warm as heatpump). This is... More

All the comforts of home in well stocked apartment. Turangi is really suited for outdoor nuts who love walking and fishing but with spa, pool and right in the centre of town is easily accessible to shops, cafe and services. Two level apartment but one bedroom on lower level for vertically challenged.

Older set up apartments but very spacious and the bathrooms are modern with heated flooring and a washer and dryer included in the lodge. Lois is a delight of a woman and brilliant with guests of all ages. Two rec rooms with everything you could ask for as well as spas and mini golf. Great for a family get-away!
