To the owner of the Gourmet Stay , Good day to you. When I step into your premise , I was like walking into a warm and modern boutique hotel in a big city . The design , the structure and the interior of the premise is alike those boutique hotels that I used to stay while traveling in Paris...

The rooms were small but the location can't be beat. It is walking distance from everything in the city. Definitely get up early for breakfast as the pastries and breads are delicious but they tended to run out later in the breakfast time window. The owner is very friendly and certainly can tell a story. I would definitely stay here...

Our two nights get stay was thoroughly enjoyable. Gourmet Stay is conveniently located enabling us to walk to many places or interests in Wellington city. It is close to a wide range of restaurants, cafes, nightlife and shops. The breakfast was wholesome and sustaining - and the complimentary lollie jar well-appreciated! Our hosts were accommodating, informative and friendly. Gourmet Stay...

Stayed one night on our way thru. The location was excellent, the staff was accommodating. The room was comfortable, TV, fridge, WiFi. The bathroom, however, was across the hall. A little awkward. The breakfast was nice.

All good, small place, but great location. Rooms are okay size, with many more beds than what we three needed. The complimentary simple breakfast made the start of the day easy and relaxed. We loved it and will certainly stay again.

Yeah, accommodation in NZ is getting expensive with more demand than ever, so expecting rates of even one year ago are way 'out of date'. I thought the rates were well within the current norm for the quality provided. I had a ground-level room in their 'annex' (not the main building) and its greatest advantage was SPACE and the chance...

perfect location - quiet, but still central so you can walk everywhere small room but with a comfy bed fully equipped kitchen bathroom was ok - shower could do with a shower screen, because otherwise everything gets wet - you have to walk through the shower area to get to the toilet good breakfast

Good location easy to access Wellington's main attractions. Small hotel but rooms were large enough to accommodate three. Continental breakfast was good but make sure you get there before any hungry young male guests on a city break (boys boozey break)
