We spent three nights in Wellington and the Grand Mercure provided an excellent base for our visit. A good size room had good facilities for basic self-catering - small fridge, microwave, toaster etc. The central location made central Wellington and the waterfront an easy walk. A neighbouring sister hotel was providing a breakfast service but there are no other restaurant...

Very well located apartments great for families. Would definitely stay there again. Could walk to cable car, te papa museum amd main shopping and restaurants. Clean apartments and in a quiet location even though well positioned in the city.

This is a quality property. It is genuinely centrally located in the city area, well within walking distance to many things, La Papa museum, waterfront, plenty of dining and Cuba St – worth a good look. The rooms are well appointed with good quality items. We liked the staff, particularly the afternoon lady with glasses (sorry no name) she was...

Ok I'll admit, it's a little hard to review after staying at a $1300/night lodge prior to the Grand Mecure. However it's clean and tidy and the staff are very helpful. We were on the 15th floor so had a view of the harbor. The room itself was small for an 'apartment' but clean and tidy and met our needs...

This hotel is in an exceptional location, right in the centre of the city, and the service is great. However, the room itself was rough (paint chips/ bedroom door wouldn't close), and the bed was terrible... single sprung and collapsing into the middle when two people in it.

The room was okay.. all facilities needed are there and functional.. the shower could have a door to avoid flooding of the whole bathroom.. the staff were amazing! They were very accommodating and polite.. they took us in early as our room is readily available even before 10am and we had a late check out at 12pm

We stayed here twice during our NZ trip. Location was the main reason in booking this place. The room we stayed had no views (directly opposite to walls of other buildings few meters away, paint peeling off from the walls (why would not they repaint it?), the fan in the bathroom was the most annoying and noisy type, lifts are...

Stayed 23rd December,no dinner or full breakfast service at these appartments, but it worked out ok as the shops were in walking distance. The room had a lounge overlooking Wellington Harbour and was very clean.

Stayed here just after the Kaikoura earthquake. The room had several cracks in the walls. The instructions about earthquake included getting under a table however the table was glass. No restaurant at hotel with no cooking facilities in rooms either. There are numerous restaurants locally but not a good choice for breakfast.

Excellent service from the very friendly staff at reception. We had a 2 room apartment which was good and spacious for the 3 of us and pretty quiet. Very handy to everything we wanted - shops, university, restaurants.
