Perfect location close to waterfront and right across the street from the museum. Good restaurant and good staff. Five minute drive from the Picton Ferry so if you're heading over to Nelson and Abel Tasman it's very convenient.

Checked in for a high end room with a balcony with a view of the Harbor. But due to "renovations", not avaiable. Was provide an apartment with a view of a garage being torn down, and no balcony. They provide an "accommodation" of $10/bottle Champagne that I wouldn't have drank in College. Then proceeded to bring someone else's luggage to...

We are locals but booked three rooms for ourselves and extended family to celebrate our son's birthday. The location is fabulous near Te Papa, the waterfront and many restaurants. Our room was an executive two bedroom suite for our family of four with two kids, and for the elder generation we had an executive studio with sea views and an...

Great hotel. A combination of design and functionality. The hotel designed as an art museum however, the rooms are equipped for maximum comfort; Coffee maker, washing machine and dryer - very important if you come to New Zealand for a long time and your clothing start to run out. Highly recommend

We stayed here with our toddler and other family members. The location is ideal, and made it easy to walk to Te Papa, the waterfront, and good restaurants and shopping. Our room was cute and comfortable, and they provided a nice crib for our son. We had a wonderful few days in Wellington. But I would especially like to call...

Always love staying at Museum Art Hotel! Great quirky hotel and is fun walking around looking at their various art pieces. Rooms are nice and have all the facilities. Is close to things like Te Papa (across the road) and the center of Wellington CBD.

I was upgraded to an executive room at check in which turned out to be a one bedroom apartment. It included a separate, large soaking tub and a kitchen that had a washer/dryer in it. It was lovely - comfortable bed & nice sheets. I definitely recommend it !

The location of this hotel is excellent! It's right across the street from the Te Papa museum, the wharf with its walking areas, restaurants and bars and had a wonderful view of Wellington Harbor. Wellington is a compact city, so walking anywhere in town is very doable from here. Our deluxe room was large and the bed was comfortable. Furnishings...

We had not booked for car parking, but it was a very reasonable NZ $20 per night. Now this might seem expensive to you, but public parking was a lot more expensive and out in the open. The hotel is quite quirky, with motorbikes and original art around the place. Our room had two good sized double beds, a microwave,...

A great hotel, interesting history (it was moved into its current position), excellent art (check out the Bill Hammonds), and a fine restaurant. It's close to Te Papa and the waterfront area. Hotel rates highly on earthquake building standards which is becoming a key factor in hotel choices! Rooms are either in the "apartment" or "hotel" and both are equally...
