Fine location, good beds, hot showers, free wi-fi. No complaints whatsoever. Nothing to rave about, but I enjoyed my stay and would totally stay here again. I bought a BBH card from them, but they didn't apply the discount, so that was pretty lame I guess.

Spent just one night in this hostel. Only positive point is the friendly staff. I was frozen the whole time there, with no heating in the room or elsewhere. The kitchen was the warmest due to people cooking. They didn't provide clean sheets or a pillow case. There was a fitted sheet on the bed but the pillow and comforter...

I had a great stay at Rosemere Backpackers. The rooms were a good size. The FREE wifi actually worked all over the hostel. I had a chance to speak to Mark, (The Owner) and he is such a nice guy. The thing I liked the most about him was that fact he took so much pride in the work he...

I stayed there for about 3 weeks, got to know most of the guests (plenty of long-term residents) so I'll admit my review is a little bit biased. If you are looking for a comfy and quiet place to relax during your time in Wellington I would not recommend it. Parties tend to go on until late at night (even...

I am not picky about hostels - low price so you get the basics.Usually I always read reviews before booking & we booked Rosemere 3 days before arrival,we were constantly on the road & Easter weekend was upon us,called this hotel, they had rooms & I completed the booking over the phone. Must say - the very WORST first impression ever!Only...

Not clean, very noisy, few placera to sit in the kitchen area. Draft/wind trough closed windows, and this is a cold place some times. Beddings ned replacement , badly. One of the worst places I stayed. I belive little has ben done to the place in 25-30 years.

I stayed at Rosemere for 2 months (for some reason) at the beginning of the year. The pros and cons (for me) are: PROS: TV Room is excellent, with good sofas and a hard drive FULL of movies and TV shows. Location is good, only about 5-10 mins walk to CBD. Well-equipped Kitchen, which is open all night (the gas,...

this is the worst backpackers I have ever stayed at! the young staff and their friends rave all night long, music blaring, drink bottles crashing, people snogging, fighting, shouting and rioting all through the building. The music and partying was still ongoing at 7am!!! they may provide cereal and bread for toast but there's pretty much no dishes or cups/mugs...

As this was featured in my bbh brochure as an average hostel to stay in wellington, i must say i was surprised. The staff were not very helpful they even made a mistake with our booking. There was a $10 key deposit for our room which was not needed as they did not lock. The people staying there were obviously...
