Due to the concert of the Guns 'n Roses on the 2nd. February, the only room available we found was at this shabby hotel which is in a pitiful state. There is no parking available. The hotel charges 2 per cent charges for credit card payments. The common areas are very dirty and the lifts were filthy. The room was adequate...

Well situated across from train station and ferry station. Rather run down hotel that our travel book reported had bright or colorful rooms. Well our double ensuite faced a shaft with little light coming in. Everything was jailhouse tan and there was one picture on the wall hung too high. If my husband hadn't already checked us in and gotten...

We arrived by train so just had to cross the street to get to the hotel. Stayed in a private room which had obviously been renovated very recently, super clean and comfy beds. The guest kitchen desperately needs a makeover though, very hard to prepare even a basic meal as there are hardly any pots, cups, cutlery etc. No space...

I was here for only one night. The hotel is not expensive and it's well located. It's old but I didn't find it dirty. But they have such stingy things... I arrived 11 am and they told me that my room was ready but if I wanted to enter before 15 I had to paid them 10 NZ dollars more,...

Awesome location opposite train station, where there is also the ferry shuttle, friendly staff on check in. Twin room smelt musty, looked old and tired much like the rest of the hotel. There was a dirty old plaster stuck to the ladder of the bunk bed (how the cleaners missed this for so long I am not sure?). Nothing about...

We were catching an early morning Bluebridge ferry to Picton, and were delighted to find we had only to walk across the street to get to the ferry terminal. We booked two ensuite rooms, which were basic but clean, with coffee-making facilities. This hotel is central, and we were able to walk to the waterfront restaurants and attractions. There's a little pub...

Hotel reception behavior cannot be worse than that. I checked in on 25th december at about 8 pm. I was so tired that I woke up at 9:30 am next morning. I informed reception that I will be 30 min late and I will checkout at 10:30 am. They agreed. But they locked the door at 10 am when I...

I had a single room with ensuite. It was clean, quiet, roomy, and well-equipped. I would stay here again. It's so nice to get a single room. The heating was on quite unnecessarily and I couldn't see how to switch it off so I just opened windows. Luckily it was a cool night, but it seems wasteful to have heating...

I needed a place to stay after coming off the late ferry and this was the closest and cheapest. It was clean and had wi-fi. Even has a bar. Its on a noisy corner but so is everything in every city. Slept fine. Don't touch the house coffee. McD's is next door. As it happened I needed to stay another...

We stayed in a double room with ensuite. The room was a good size & perfectly clean. The heating overnight was wayyy too hot, even with the window open we roasted. Overall noise was ok, there were a few times where we're not sure what the people on the other side of our walls were doing, but sounded like they...
