If you're a backpacker looking for somewhere to stay you won't be going wrong with this YHA Hostel. Clean, good location, average price and the staff did their job (although not much more). The place was nothing special and didn't really stand out but it was by no means bad.

Another lovely YHA hostel. Very welcoming and very very clean! All the YHA hostels I have stayed in have been very welcoming to traveling seniors. Clean, large rooms and kitchens, helpful and friendly staff, comfortable beds and a great location to downtown Wellington. Free WiFi throughout the entire hostel not just the main floor! Would definitely stay here again!

My room number 506 (female 4 bed ensuit) had view of the Wellington harbour, which was awesome! The facilites of the hostels, especially two kitchens and dining areas, was great. Highly recommended. The room was very quite so I had good sleep.

Not a bad place to stay if in Wellington but seemed impersonal. Its a big city hostel. While all systems seemed to work together to accommodate groups, large and small and of all ages, I found it quite a lonely place.

Thanks for your review. I’m sorry you found our property to be a little lonely and impersonal, this is unfortunately one of the down sides to being such a large hostel. We do our best to accommodate everybody as comfortably as possible during higher periods of occupancy so I’m glad you thought our system worked well. I hope you enjoy...

We're not usually YHA guests and were a bit nervous about this stay, but it was really rather nice. A great mix of friendly people stayed here, it was wonderfully efficiently run and the queen room with ensuite (while simple) had a lot more than we expected. The bathroom was on the bit-too-small-for-comfort side but super clean. The location is...

We stayed at this hostel for 10 nights. It is clean, plenty of room for chilling and loads of kitchen facilities. Apparently is widely accepted the best in Welly. Only downside is is can be hard to mix with people but prob same issue with all big brand hostels. Definitely recommended.

I booked a twin room en suite for my sister-in-law and self. This YHA is very well situated and in walking distance to many places of interest, including Te Papa Museum. While there we enjoyed the World of Wearable Art Show, also in walking distance.
