We stayed here based on Tripdvisor reviews.. the place is just nice. They had a free-drink happy hour for all in-house guests which was a nice touch. The staff was very helpful & efficient. The rooms were comfortable - we stayed in a 1-bedroom suite.. but the breakfast was very sub-standard & pricey to boot. Fantastic location.. just a few...

Got a wonderful mystery hotel from wotif for a couple of couples. Ended up staying in the studios that were available. Perfectly fine. Nice room, nice amenities, nice staff. Spa and pool area needed a slight upgrade, but adequate. Loved the free happy hour down in the lounge bar. I would love to stay again.

Rooms and lobby and very nice, and hotel staff are fantastic. The gym is very small with limited equipment. The pool area is OK, but the hot tub is very small and cheap (looks like a budget backyard hot tub). Not sure if this was normal, but there it was a windy night and the room was quite loud with...

Quite a surprise. Located away from the harbour, at the foot of the ridge that surrounds Wellington, opposite the Sofitel, adjacent to the Reserve Bank. This place is wonderful. A 3min walk to Lambton Quay. Our 2br apartment was better than home. Large, clean, well appointed, good kitchen, washing machine, large bathrooms, good loungeroom, new carpet. Room's tops. The dining...

All started well after check-in (albeit the car parking was a little confusing and valet parking is pretty much essential ££) Our suite on the 11th floor was very nice so we head down to the cafe for lunch; this was so disappointing when with minimal choice of sandwiches and pastries. Given it was raining outside and gale warnings were...

Stayed here in Dec 2016. Pros: easy car valet, decent breakfast, hopping coffee shop for local biz people. Next to Sofitel which gives you dining options. Friendly and competent check-in. Con: just a bit far walk to some of the restaurants.

My partner and I live in Wellington and decided after the Christmas madness that we would treat ourselves to a little quiet time and a night at a hotel. My Partner works in the building industry so after the recent earthquakes she researched the safe buildings and picked the Bolton, living and working in Wellington I wasn’t interested in the...

Small hotel that is not part of a chain; helpful staff, good food, close to Treasury and Parliament. My room was small but had everything I needed - including a mini iPad. When I visited in September 2016 there was a Rita Angus exhibition on with several paintings or sketches on each floor. Fantastic! I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel has a mix of room types. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment. It was very spacious. There was a living room and a kitchenette. Both bedrooms had ensuites which was nice. The apartment was nicely furnished and was spotless. One side of the apartment overlooked another building so there isn't much privacy. The other side overlooked a...
