Staff were nice. Park looks nice at first. But DO NOT bring your caravan here. For some inexplicable reason there are large boulders on every corner. And the corners are tight to start with. Myself and 2 other caravaners had to get a couple to shift their campervan just so we could start getting our caravans out. We needed the extra space to swing wide around the corners and miss the boulders. Sadly the first to try didn’t make one of the turns and ripped a hole in the side of his caravan on one of the rocks. Next came my turn and with 3 other couples guiding me I chose a different path and made it out on the second attempt without hitting a rock. By the way we are all experienced caravan owners and know how to park and manoeuvre just in case anyone’s wondering. The boulders are unnecessary and ridiculous for a place that is supposed to accommodate caravans and campervans. It took an hour to get the 3 caravans out from our parks and around the tight drives before we were clear at the entrance. As a matter of urgency I ask the management to get a digger in and get these impediments removed. If I ever think of staying there again I will be asking first if they have removed them.…
I recently travelled with my family and stayed at Tasman Holiday park. We booked room 501 the wheelchair room, and another family unit. Our first impression's as we entered what appeared to be a well maintained, classy and flash looking holiday park were quickly unravelled as we entered room 501 to a dodgy entrance way that was definately not safe or secure for wheelchair entrance, and so slippery our young son fell down it as soon as we got there, the floor in the bathroom was an absaloute mess, urine on the floor that had smelt the room out and the previous guests hair and muddy foot prints still over the floor. Thankfully someone was sent quickly to resolve this but this wasn't without the sulky comments coming from the two staff in there sorting it out that we could hear. The flys and ant's were hurrendous in both of the rooms, the family room that was also on our booking was filthy, the curtains were covered in mould, window's covered in mould, we all left with sore throats and allergy like symptoms after one night. Freezer stunk of rotten fish, tried to turn the fan unit on in the room and it smelt it out of wet dog, the surfaces were grimy, shower was grotty, it just was unpleasantly dirty. There were party's going on so not much sleep had from either parents over the other side or us where our unit was. Wouldn't give us a couple of $ cash out so our kids could have a whirl on their gaming machines in the arcade, couple of health and safety issues like concrete steps without any grit- the steps are dangerous when wet - also had a child slip down these. Laundry room was filthy, the washing machines hadn't been cleaned in what looked like a very long time. It is a shame really, the facilities onsite are plentiful, and so much for people who are travelling especially with children can do onsite, but it needs a very big tidy up and some maintenance. Very over priced for what we got.…
We had booked with the hotel for fully cancellable rooms for April 2023, but we were charged for the first night by the hotel. When we cancelled well in advance, they said they cannot refund into the credit card ! But instead wanted our bank account details!!! When we gave the details they kept replying that they couldn’t refund so we said we d collect cash when we arrived at NZ. They said they wouldn’t give us cash! Please avoid at all costs.
We booked the studio at this resort solely for the fact it advertised it had a pool and hot tub and we have been hiking and walking a lot and were excited to relieve our sore joints in the hot tub. We walked to the resort from the airport with the hot tub in mind. When we arrived they told us there is no hot tub, it is a “spa” and that it costs $10 each per 30 minutes. We were really disappointed to hear this and showed her on our booking where it states everything included that it says pool and hot tub and she just said “oh well it’s not.” Really regretting staying here as it is overpriced for a small cabin without your own bathroom or anything. Just a bed in a room. Would not stay here again. The staff could’ve been a lot nicer when telling us that they messed up their website and there is not hot tub.…
Stayed there in unit 501 with Wheelchair access. Firstly ramp is not suitable for electric chairs the grade is dangerous be very careful needs to be longer not as steep and something inside the room then damage to bottom of frame wouldnt be so noticeable. Shower and Bathroom awesome. Bed disgusting paid $209.00 for 3 adults for the worst nights sleep in any place i have stayed. Vendella have some very nice beds for 1500 and One more complaint unable to get into unit until after 4.p.m not good when you have been travelling and need to lay down after being in chair. Maybe they should check steep grade of ramp with an authorities before injury occurs. If going to Dunedin Allan Court until 3 has an awesome bed.
A fantastic campground in a central location. Best facilities ever. Drive through checkin was efficient, staff friendly and helpful. Only negative thing was that it is very crowded when full. Jam packed and tight corners. We had a drive through spot. Peak times busy
Warm welcome from reception team - they are a real asset to the park. Compact but adequate accommodation for an overnight stay - double bed in one room with kitchenette and small dining table, 4 bunks in separate room with basic en--suite. Very clean. Well maintained. Bed comfort OK. Small indoor swimming pool with slide, sadly the enjoyment of which was affected by other park guests which made it dangerous for our kids to use for very long, climbing the wall and then hurling themselves into the small pool - no park supervision. Jumping pillow and small kids play areas incl games and TV room. Ambient noise not too bad considering type of accommodation. Room accommodated 6, but only table/seating for 4. No outside space (upstairs room, which wasn’t obvious at time of booking).…
Perfect, we are a family of six (kids between 16-23) so we booked a 2 room units for 2 nights. Had everything we needed. It was quiet and clean. Staff was professional and friendly. Kids took full advantage of being close to the shopping mall and the heated pool. Communal areas are well equipped and well maintained.
Very nice place. I liked the pool area and the slide. The Wi-Fi speed was good and the laundry there was good. I liked that there were tables inside and outside the room for dining and the bathroom was a decent size. The trees at the hotel looked nice as well.
We booked a 2 bedroom family unit through Booking.com. First impressions was the entry and check in which was fabulous, very bright, friendly and welcoming. When we entered the unit it was awful as it smelled like someone had pee'd on everything (we hope it was just some strong cheap disinfectant?). There was hair in the shower, mould on the tiles, the basin was cracked with black lines running through it and there was a literally sticky patch in the carpet in the first bedroom. It was only one night so we stayed but I would not pay that price for a unit at this park again. Probably much nicer if you BYO tent and camp out. I personally think someone is pushing up the ratings on review sites as this facility has a lot of 10/10 ratings with no comments left compared to the lower rated reviews that tend to mention dirty facilities.…
